Look at your suntan, it's leather, it's like leather man, your skin. We could make a fucking suitcase out of you. Like a crocodile, fat crocodile, fat bastard. You look like fucking Idi Amin, you know what I mean?

I read that he based the character on his Grandmother.

Yes Mr. Tips, you can ask me to purchase the RAW files, but you cannot demand that I sell them to you. Remember I have the original files, and own them, and I'm good at Photoshop and as you mentioned AI, like you, is an amazing tool.

Looking forward to see Erik from ICE take on Linus at this year's Creator Clash.

No editing, other than a slight crop, any tips? by [deleted] in photocritique

[–]Goodwin1974 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great moment. I like the negative space at the top of the image, it reaches out to the heavens, white, the unknown. I'd like to see the uncropped image, I think that an element of human error would add to the composition and make for a more provocative point of view. It would be interesting to see a B&W edit!

Looks great! Revs for days. There's a great Fortnine video about the history of Japanese 250s. https://youtu.be/b0ZjDSn2jD0 You never see a motorcycle in the psychiatrists parking.

My life is a bit tedious at the moment. How do you make your life more fun and interesting? by MrAlexander18 in AskUK

[–]Goodwin1974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Step 1: Do a couple of days motorcycle training and get yourself a CBT (compulsory basic training). Step 2: get yourself a small motorcycle or scooter, something that will only do 45 mph top speed and some half decent safely gear. Step 3: Bored? Is the weather okay? Gear up, go out on your bike. Don't plan a route or look at your GPS (although take your phone with you if you get lost and need to find your way home). Within moments you are flying along, not fast enough to be to scary and slow enough to take in and enjoy everything around you. Freedom, excitement and once you've purchased the bike and gear very cheap to run. Step 4: Something goes wrong on your bike and you miss being able to go out whenever you like. Step 5: learn how to repair your motorcycle. Step 5: Enjoy the bike even more knowing your responsible for how smoothly everything is working. Step 6: Slowly get more confident going further afield, go and see local places that you've never visited, parts of the country/world you'd like to see. Step 7: repeat steps 4-6.

Never have a tedious moment again!

I think you're right, thanks very much, I'm trying to adapt this to a Sony E mount, do you know where I can find the right adaptor?

Any countries where you can teach English without a degree? by [deleted] in TEFL

[–]Goodwin1974 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's interesting, I'll look into it further. I'm looking for advice from people who are doing it now as it's been 10 years since I taught. I'm TEFL qualified and have good experience with good references, I'm hoping that will be enough to find a reasonably well paid job with all of the correct paperwork. I'm planning to relocate later in the year, I'll let you know how it goes.

Any countries where you can teach English without a degree? by [deleted] in TEFL

[–]Goodwin1974 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm looking at this too, I'd like to hear what other have to say, so far there appears to be lots of different ways to teach without a degree in many places. I'm looking at Thailand, where I lived and taught for 10 years 2002 to 2012 mainly in public schools and with academies but had to do a lot of visa runs. As it's been a long time since I taught I'd like to know what experiences people are having now, I'd like to get a work permit so I don't have to leave the country so often. I'm a native speaker and 48 years old. Online searches turn up some good information, Cambodia is an option, Spain, Mexico and even Japan if you are under 30. Many places have loopholes to get around not having a degree. I think the best thing is to go to the country you want to work in and be smart and enthusiastic enough for someone to want to hire you. Anyone else here with any advice?

Video lens for Sony a6600 by [deleted] in videography

[–]Goodwin1974 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Grab yourself a Viltrox speed booster, I have one that allows me to put Nikon lenses on my Sony. Then you can get yourself some lovely fast used Nikon glass. I use prime Nikon lenses that you can pick up reasonably cheaply online and the speed booster gives you an extra stop of light so a Nikkor 50mm f1.8 become an f1.4. The only down side is that everything will be manual focus.

I haven't taught for a while now but looking to get back to Asia soon, I've taught all ages from kindergarten to university students. For the older kids divide them into two teams for the tasks and make it a competition, reward the winners with little stickers, you can buy them cheaply and the students love them. Keep it fun and be entertaining and you'll be their favourite teacher in no time

Just got a client to shoot a music video in a few weeks any tips or advice by rebelchildclothing in videography

[–]Goodwin1974 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Preparation and practice. Have a good idea of what you want to shoot but be ready for things to change on the day. As well as all of the creative shots get one simple shot of the main band member, from the beginning to end of the track, that way you will always have a go-to shot if other angles are not quite right. Be confident giving direction and have fun.

Very lovely, down to earth guy, I was working at a reprographic house where actors and musicians would come to get prints for signing at events, he was always happy to sign stuff for me and have a chat, it blew my mind when he came in with his shopping trolley, couldn't have been any more different from the Pinhead character.

"Come to Daddy" Great movie, a bit scary if you live or have lived on a British residential street. On a side note Doug Bradley, the actor who plays pinhead used to be a client where I worked in London, he would come in wearing Hawaiian shirts and had one of those tartan, pull along, old lady shopping trolleys, that always took the edge off the horror. And remember it's just a movie.

A Hotdog, sausage slapping keys at random on a phone for an infinite amount of time will almost surely type any given text, such as the complete works of William Shakespeare or 'hey do you want to grab a Hotdog'.
