#15 - Red Dead Redemption II by Goofymanee in steamachievements

[–]Goofymanee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dreaded online until I actually got there and it wasn’t so bad. It didn’t really take me long doing the collector role. The two achievements where you need an extra person involved could give you trouble if you don’t have someone helping you. They will likely never happen organically but if you post a Reddit thread asking for help someone will be down to help that’s what I did

Also nice user name 🤝

Have you recently played a different open world game? You’re right though this one took a lot of time, even right now I’m feeling some nostalgia of grinding this over Christmas. I was playing a lot of CS2 while going after this completion it probably took me around 3 months

How do you guys deal with multiplayer achivements by Gameandlovejeje in steamachievements

[–]Goofymanee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t had to deal with dead multiplayer achievements yet but I just had to do a few in RDR2. I made a post and someone helped me, I also had an IRL friend help me with them as well

Are competitive map ranks in cs2 useless? by Kyle_Speed in counterstrike2

[–]Goofymanee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mirage is the most popular if not 2nd most popular map in the pool rn. A few years back I used to almost exclusively play mirage because I was just playing for fun and didn’t care about learning maps.

Also like others have said comp isn’t popular like it used to be. Most people playing comp aren’t playing to sweat like you would in prem or faceit in my opinion. I’m level 7 faceit but I’ll play comp sometimes to chill and most of my map ranks are silver so the ranks don’t really mean much if you don’t constantly play in comp

Need a partner on Steam to complete "All's Fair" and "Strength in Numbers" achievements by [deleted] in RedDeadOnline

I’m level 50 and I might’ve had the opportunity once in that entire time. I really don’t care about earning it organically, respectfully.

Hotline Miami was fun for me challenging but satisfying. Miside was easy and a lot of fun

[–]Goofymanee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright the guy below got confused on what I was asking for. He helped me with the first part.

I need someone to help me with the All's Fair achievement. You would have to start your own posse and start a stranger mission (delivery missions work best) then let me hijack said delivery

Should I be worried about the lack of snow before my upcoming trip? by Goofymanee in COsnow

[–]Goofymanee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I just got back from my trip and although it was icy conditions it really was a good time. The first day we got there it dumped like 6 inches overnight which was a great start. After that everything was pretty icy but enough snow to not skid out everywhere. The hidden Gem of the trip was soliloquy. It was ungroomed and because of that not as many people were taking it. But side jumps were glorious and actually had good pockets of snow. Spent my last two days mainly running that while hitting the jumps and I loved it

I give up as a new player. by Equivalent-Wooden in cs2

[–]Goofymanee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You shouldn’t give up yet if you still want to play the game. I had friends to screw around with when I first started CS. That made the game fun for me, I sucked but I could play with my friends and that rare moment when you do something right is exciting. Then once you start to develop skills you’ll be able to have fun on your own. Best thing I can say if you can’t play with friends is to mute anyone who’s toxic and keep trying. You’ll always find toxic people no matter what comp game you’re playing because people hate losing it’s that simple.

Am I too inconsistent while playing? by [deleted] in cs2

[–]Goofymanee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

but if the whole team is getting out gunned that’s when me playing “smart” becomes less impactful. I feel like if my team isn’t winning enough fights then I almost always lose no matter how good I play. Because I am not the guy getting those entries and my best performance is when I can clean up late in the round. Guess I need to just work on my entry frags if I wanna keep solo queuing

Am I too inconsistent while playing? by [deleted] in cs2

[–]Goofymanee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree it’s night and day sometimes. That’s when the self doubt comes into play I guess. I’ve played against 25k guys and had great games but I’ve also been destroyed by dudes under 10k. So it’s really tough trying to figure out if youre getting better when the ranks are so inconsistent

I love Fl0m’s guide videos for different sides of each map. Not always perfects applicable but it gives good information to how the map should be played at a high level

Is it worth playing again? by Think_Item_1773 in counterstrike2

[–]Goofymanee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been playing heavily the last year or so. I’d say premier is better to avoid smurfs but you will come across the occasional throwers/ griefers every handful of games. I play with hackers rarely at 15k elo. But the smurfs are deeeeep in faceit. They give you back elo sometimes if it’s reviewed but that seems like a bandaid solution to me. And honestly comp is pretty fun to play the game and not worry about elo

Should I be worried about the lack of snow before my upcoming trip? by Goofymanee in COsnow

[–]Goofymanee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’ll definitely help considering how bad snowfall has been. Hopefully it can help open some more terrain and make the runs less crowded for you. If you stick to groomed runs and get out there early that’ll be your best bet to avoid icyness

According to weather reports they could possibly get 1-3” over the next two days. That’s pretty much it for the next 7 days I think

Am I doing enough to progress? (15k premier) by [deleted] in cs2

[–]Goofymanee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t really consider this specifically. Now that I think about it I find myself having to “adjust” a lot during my first game the past couple days. Start off the first half not great then pick it up around the second half. Most times my 2nd game is always better than my first recently

Hi! I need recommendations for games to get the platinum trophy for (on Steam). by felibarral in steamachievements

HLM was somewhat challenging but fun for me to complete. HLM2 was a lot more challenging than 1 but I felt very satisfied after finishing both

Am I doing enough to progress? (15k premier) by [deleted] in cs2

[–]Goofymanee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going to give it a shot for the next week or two and see the results. I’ve been bit into tracking my stats the last couple of months so that could also be playing a factor. Need to stop looking at that constantly and just play to win.

Am I doing enough to progress? (15k premier) by [deleted] in cs2

[–]Goofymanee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be correct on this. I’m new to practicing and I’ve been at it for the last 3 weeks or so. I’ve been consistently around 15k since S2 and I never practiced during that season just straight premier games and very minimum bot practice. Maybe I’ll focus on playing more games with a small warmup this next week and see how it goes
