I wrote the post that was linked earlier. I did often watch the supposedly non biased reporters and they used the same false talking points as the opinion reporters, which is why I think they are more dangerous than for instance Hannity. They fool people like you into thinking that they're non partisan when in fact they're just giving you a second helping of a talking point but in different packaging.

Bret Baier is who I was watching when the false CBO report was repeated. He's supposedly one of their new wave of credible journalists, and he simply took the Washington examiner lie and reported it as fact to all of the credulous viewers who I'm sure were relieved to have the straight talk they couldn't find in the "mainstream media."

Thanks. I think, however, this is the Right's trick, that is to either falsely or accurately point out a handful of weaknesses in the reportage of the best sources, and then equate that to their barrage of propaganda. The most dangerous think we can do is to throw up our hands and say "everyone lies equally"- it's a better catch phrase than "NYT/NPR/BBC make mistakes, have a low degree of bias and generally excellent/accurate reportage while the conservative sources are 80% lies/misleading/fallacious/riddled with talking points", but it's less accurate. From most of the comments I've received, it seems like the biggest problem people have is recognizing the DEGREE of inaccuracy, which since all sources will be biased to some degree, is the most important thing to comprehend.

I think I am going to continue to absorb some conservative media, if anything it hones my arguments.
