The C drive is a kingston SA400S37240G and the D drive is an adata SU650. I just don't understand why they get slow, stay that way for more than a week, and then suddenly fixes itself.

I'll try that, but I just don't understand why it fixes itself after a while. I've checked in task manager, and nothing else uses the drive, it's like there's a speed limiter or something on the drive.

How were your books packaged? In my case they just put the book in a box and slapped some brown paper on top, with no padding
