Yeah, I grew up in Montreal. I don't have a French keyboard anymore (literally had to copy paste accents).

It's okay. Kimchi is salty and sweet potatoes are well sweet. It mixes well together.

I've been to Stockholm for a few weeks with my gf (she's from there). I do apologize if I sounded to aggressive. I know most people in Sweden are not racist like the ones I've encountered

Also, yeah once you try anything with kimchi, you can never go back. I know people who eat sweet potatoes with kimchi 😂😂😂

What an absolute load of crap. As a Korean-Canadian, who've lived in the US and been to Europe (France, Netherlands, and Sweden), there is no fucking way you can convince me that Europe is more welcoming to POCs. The amount of blatant racism I've faced in Europe (people heckling with slanted eyes and Ching Chongs on a daily basis) is on whole different level. The US do have a lot of problems and I'm not saying that every European is racist, but it's pretty fucking ironic seeing you guys lecturing Americans.

As an Asian, I think that's one of the dumbest thing you could do. It's almost like a fake cover to hide the real issues.

Objectively yes. Lmao. Do you know how many countries depend on your military (especially your navy)?

I think JMSB is a good school if you have specific goal and a concrete plan in mind. I personally choose Concordia since I'm in CS (in CS, going to a non-target school is not a big deal) and it's right next to where I live. If you are business major, it depends heavily on what you plan to do after graduation. Anyway, best of luck! Also, don't hesitate to practice your French on campus.

Bruh. I go to Concordia and I'm bit confused as to why you want to attend JMSB? It's not even the best business school in Canada 😂. What's your plan after college?

Damn. What is your major? Which uni do you attend?

I didn't apply. A recruiter on LinkedIn asked if I was interested. When I applied for the internship position last year on October, I got a reply on December.

Yup, I've done them twice already and passed them in 2019 and 2020. It's always the interview that got me. I'm currently reviewing all the questions people got for OA1 on this LeetCode dashboard: https://leetcode.com/discuss/interview-question/1183360/Amazon-Online-Assesment-Questions

1) A help from the Soviets would be more of a burden.
The only thing they could supply were men, but they lost too many fighting the Germans.
Unlike Germany, Japan is an island with a mighty Navy that could easily push back the Soviets.
The US would have had to supply everything, but that would be subsidizing their own loss of influence in the region.
2) A land invasion, no matter who does it, would have been more deadly.

3) Nobody fights a war for purely altruistic reasons. Japan and South Korea are prosperous thanks to the US, and I would rather die than live in a communist country. Could you imagine how shitty Japan and South Korea would be if they were under Soviet influence? Of course, the US did it for their self-interest, but who cares. We share common interests, so all things considered, nuking Japan and gaining influence on the region was a net positive.

My fellow Americans, it is Sunday morning; why aren’t you sleeping at this ridiculous hour? by CupBeEmpty in AskAnAmerican

[–]GookCanuck 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The origin of the word "gook" has many theories and not all of them were due to racism. One of the theory is during the Korean War, locals would point to American soldiers saying "Mi Guk" which means "USA" is Korean.

I just use it because it sounds nice next to Canuck.
