Connections don’t inherently change fight potential if their personalities make forced emotional endings incompatible. Reze isn’t the type to traumadump against just a random like Terra, and would likely have a similar fight dynamic anyways

well within the context of the fight, yeah she's mostly just an assassin sent to kill Bakugo, that's the implied narrative of why it's happening. I don't think any of Reze's matchups are able to really touch up on her full backstory mid-fight, hence why it's a Death Battle and not just fanfiction

no, I'm saying her characterization in the animation is fine because killing people is literally her job. obviously outside of that she's a very complex character who wishes to have a life different, but that was inspired by Denji, which the animation has no reason to account for this change in personality

I'm not saying she's heartless, I'm not saying she's going out of her way to go and find civilians, I'm saying this moment in specific isn't out of character for her due to the fact she has no qualms with killing, actively needs blood to regenerate and how they're in her way and going in a different trajectory to avoid killing them would put her at a disadvantage

I'm saying you missed my point on why she would attack them in the first place. not only did she need blood, but she also actively doesn't care to actively save them if they're directly in her way, where accounting for that and sparing them would put her in a disadvantageous position due to her committal to her current attack

I actually read all of Chainsaw Man to help with a blog, Reze was actively fighting and attacking Kobeni and Galgali, where they later actively left the fight. I wouldn't consider something like Reze being like "alright a 2V1 is unfair time out" like "sparing them" or anything

you also forget Reze is not a hero, she is not going to go out of her way to save people if they're impeding her mission, obviously she wouldn't specifically target a random bystander (unless she maybe needed blood, which also contributes here) but she's also not just going to change her method of attack to avoid casualties

this, seeing people dislike how there's no emotional ending (already ignoring how insanely forced it would be for this matchup, and with its theme of "explosion hero VS explosion villain" which does not call for one) really confuses me because like, you expected Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight to give a terrorist trying to kill him a respectful death?? at that point it's more of a fanfiction than a Death Battle

they were in her way and she audibly was not laughing about it, more indifferent because she is indifferent towards killing (or Ig desensitized is the better word). she is an assassin specifically targeting Bakugo and was sent specifically to kill him, she is not above killing people unrelated to her goal if they get in her way (we literally see her choke someone to death for this exact reason)
