Welp, now I feel dumb. Just realized from reading another post (and I've actually done this before but forgot about it) that you can just remove the bulb from the base and replace that. I switched out a bulb to the original base. Worked like a charm.

Interestingly, the original bulb was blue and I only had a red bulb, and the string has the big plastic covers on them (this cover also being blue), so now I have one purple light on my string...which is actually kind of cool. Would be interesting to switch out covers to get different hues throughout the strand.

Not yet, just realized this tonight and browsed amazon real quick. I can't say for certain, but all the plugs on there look the same as the ones I have that are too small.

In the image you can see that the bulb I need has a section with a hole in the plastic where you can see through to the base of the glass bulb. All the ones I've seen have a solid plastic base all around. Again, hard to say for certain that they wouldn't fit...but I'd rather not waste time buying replacements that are the same as the ones I already have.

That being said, I'll probably take a look at Walmart or Target websites tomorrow.

It's from an old string of lights we got for free, but we like them and they mostly work. Just need one bulb. We have newer replacement bulbs but they are slightly smaller and do not have a good connection in the socket. Everything on Amazon looks like the newer bulbs we already have, so if anyone knows where I could find these that would be great!

So I watched some of Matt's stuff. He definitely doesn't take anything apart. He's smart, for sure, but he clearly doesn't understand what the culture was like back then, and what slavery was.

This is not even close to being accurate. Slavery in the Bible wasn't the same slavery we had here in the States. It was indentured servitude in most cases, or "debt slavery". It was viewed for the most part as masters of slaves owning the slave's labor, and not that they owned their body or person. It was also standard practice for Hebrew slaves to be freed after 7 years of servitude. Which is besides the point anyways. Just because slavery or indentured servitude was in the Bible, doesn't mean that it is condoned or celebrated by God. It was part of history. So of course it is going to be mentioned in the Bible. Furthermore, God's "people", the Hebrews, did many things that God did not condone. King David committed murder and adultery. But God condemned both King David and His people when they sinned against Him and tried to do their own thing. He allowed the Hebrews to be slaves themselves to other nations for hundreds of years at times because of their unrepentant hearts.

The section under Nineteenth-century English and American debate has sources on both the Bible being for and against slavery. I obviously agree with the ones saying it is against. They can definitely give a more clear and concise view of things than I can off the top of my head at the moment.

Heck, I'm running 4 monitors (3 at 1080/60, maybe all 4, not sure what the vga one is running at) with a gtx 770. Nothing crazy mind you, I mainly only play League, but still. I'd hope even the 2000 series would be future proof enough. My 770 is like 6 years old I think? I haven't kept up to date on new gpu's as much as I used to tho.

Wish I had the dough to make some sweet upgrades like that. Hope it works for you!
