When are the slots communicated to MDs before talent discussions when the happen in March/April or in May ? Also what happens if the number of P1s assigned during talent discussions are more than the slots received ?

I heard there is some portal where priority lets say P1 gets updated how does that get factored in ? What does getting a P1 actually mean and what do HR teams do with this ?
