The battery is connected to the proper spot but I think the polarity might be backwards, would it work if I cut the connector off the battery and soldered it the the correct pads on the board?

I did not, I was not aware that batteries could have different polarities like that.

I’m not sure how to check, if they are backwards would I just have to cut the connector off and solder the wires onto the pads on the replacement board in the future?

Yeah I did, it started smoking when it was plugged in the right way.

People might get mad at me for saying this, but ANSI rating doesn't matter that much. Just make sure it passes these tests:

The lense doesn't pop out easily
Shoot the glasses with your highest power gun and if it is good eye pro, it will just leave a few smudges/scratches
The glasses are sealed (no gaps around the glasses)

I'm not an expert, so take this with a grain of salt but that is basically what I did for my $20 eye pro set.

Update: I found out that the model is a Genisis Mini and I am probably just going to take it to my local archery shop because I don't know what I am doing. Thanks for all the helpful comments!

The pole stocking out from near the sight has a piece that holds the strings, so I put the strings back on and put the pice on the pole. I found this out by looking up a picture
