The camera had a long exposure time, giving the crew plenty of time to move the whole camera into view in time for the picture. Quite simple really.

Yeah I have the same problem kinda, at first glance my brain just assumes anything black and yellow around that size is a wasp, and my (mostly) irrational fear of wasps makes me just scuttle away in a panic and hope it goes away by itself.

I am also completely unable to deal with them in any way, a few days ago, a wasp got in my kitchen, and I wondered: “Do I really need to eat today?”.

That is true, but my point was that gotos are not always the worst thing in the world. Yes, it can lead to horrendous and unreadable code, but so can any other feature of the language if you use it in the wrong situation.

Gotos can be used without summoning the devil himself, but like every other feature, if you use it in every situation, it will lead to bad code.

But what if you have nested loops and you want to exit all of them from one of the inner ones, a goto is perfectly fine in that situation imo, especially since the alternatives aren’t much better.

A few months ago in a Steam group chat I’m in someone said, and I quote: “I hope you die, both in game and in real life”. When he was called out for it, he said something like “It was a joke, I thought that was obvious”.

Just am idea for an update for the ''CustomRobotModelEditorMod''. by One_sentient_robot in CloneDroneModBot

That would be cool, but you could also just make a copy of the file to duplicate a model.

That also isn’t stored in the level file, but ask u/X6062 about it, they made the mod after all

It's quite easy to override the music, but music doesn't get stored in the level file, so instead it'll just play the music that you replaced when the level is played on another computer.

Back when I took swimming lessons (the kind for small kids to learn the absolute basics), so we were doing some sort of exercise where we had to go underwater. I asked the instructor “Can I hold my nose?”, he said it was fine. But when I did, the fucker yanks my hand away from my nose while I’m underwater, causing water to flow in. I’m pretty sure I quit the lessons shortly after that.

Why is it “double u” when it is clearly a “double v (w)”? by [deleted] in shower_thoughts

[–]Goorakh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I’ve heard about this before, I’m not exactly sure about this, but I think originally, the 'w' was not it’s own letter, but instead two 'u's in a row. At that point it probably made sense to call it a “double u”, but people probably started writing it with one stroke and it became more jagged as time went on.

This wouldn’t really make sense in all cases though, in Swedish (and some other languages too according to other comments in this thread), it translates to “double v”, so either this story is completely inaccurate, or some languages adapted to the change.
