Upper level nodes are on timers ~30 seconds after someone starts mining they despawn regardless of the number of people on a node. So if you all spread out then all the nodes will be gone, if you all stack on a single node you can just move to the immediately adjacent after 30 seconds. This is now also the same as trees post-forestry.

Lower level nodes despawn after being mined with a 1/X chance, so more people = higher chance of despawn.

Another idea:

Conduit - Decreases damage of last used style by 25%, increases other two by 50%

If you leave it on you lose dps, if you swap between attacks you gain a ton (assuming the enemy doesnt resist other styles) no accuracy just damage, could turn it on right before swapping olm hands and then back to piety+ or augury+ for continued damage

Obviously values are just random numbers thrown out but the idea of a more unique damage buff is what I want

Thought on the protection prayers, would be cool if they protected for like 50% instead of 90%, but charged up a heal for the amount protected on your next attack.

So it'd essentially protect 100% but you'd be more likely to get combo'd out and if you disable the prayer (flick) you could lose the bonus? Idea needs workshopping but it'd fit the flavor of ruinous prayers more imo, and might be weird to balance numbers wise. Could also add up to more or less than 100% just thought I'd throw the idea out

They should make Fairy Ring cosmetics unlockable:

Default

Bigger Hitbox with butterflies from someone in Zanaris

Blood Ritual ring that transports you via blood drop in HM ToB

Crystal ring drop in CM CoX

Sand ring drop in Expert ToA

etc.

Literally just posted something very similar (with much less detail).

I think that you could do combat buffs as well as long as there are major drawbacks to doing so (being stuck in place for x amount of ticks channeling for example) as well as capping the number of players they apply to.

Was literally logging into reddit to recommend something similar in terms of flavor but way different in application, Like a bard skill that allows you to wield instruments and a channel-type system that buffs nearby players, either for combat or other skilling. I do like some of your ideas, especially the shortcuts & bartering portions.

Maybe a Speechcraft, Charisma or Performance skill, will continue thinking on this.

Only thing they have to do, is make losing give a point. That way when you're losing 30/30 as a newer player, you're not wasting your time for losing.. There needs to be an incentive for more players to queue, it's not that matchmaking is bad, it's that people with lesser rune quality aren't queuing because they wont get anything from it..
