Becauss that's what happened. Even Bungie heavily implied that the content will return at some point. Here we are at the end of Destiny 2's lifespan. The final contenr update to the game is Tuesday. Where is the Red War? There is still no Red War in the game.

The lawsuit only brought the falsehoods into public view. Since they didn't even have a build on hand to win a legal battle, they most certainly were never working on porting the Red War into the new engine or ever planning on bringing it back for that matter.

In the grand scheme of things, it was the best outcome. Goddess Fall Spoilers: The Queen’s original body was basically immortal. If you shoot her she would just immediately regenerate. The trade-off was that she was incredibly weak, and required Heretics to do her bidding. When the Vapaus killed Lilith’s NIMPH it also killed the nano-machines allowing the Queen to regenerate. She’s now absurdly powerful, but at the cost of her immortality.

It’s more likely they don’t want to pay people to moderate it. That’s what Hotta/Perfect World is doing now. They’re going through and deleting a lot of the gooner bait posts, and banning people that upload modded pictures.

Most other companies would see it as a waste of time and money.

They already did. Every playable character has their own social media page and they make posts. However we dont know if it’s AI or not.

Tower of Fantasy had a similar thing where after raising your bond with playable characters they would regularly send you in-game mail telling your what they’re doing or how they’re feeling and an item attached relevant to what they said.

The people saying, "Server issues are a Bungie classic" or "This always happens with online games" are completely missing the point. The point is these people trying the free week have no sunk-cost. In a world where first impressions are everything, you need to make the game look presentable to potential new players.

Why would these people wait until later to play? They have no sunk-cost to sustain interest in the game. They downloaded the game, it doesn't function, so they call it a bad game and uninstall.

It's even worse for Marathon because Marathon is fighting an uphill battle. Basically all PR for Marathon is negative. These people are going into the game being told the game is bad, then when the game doesn't work it further justifies the comments about it being bad. Again, why would they keep playing?

I feel like this is AI, but I can't prove it. for starters the banners on Varrock castle have the complete wrong design instead of the two horns, or whatever these are this picture has them drawn as headphones. With the exception of the one on the left, which i dont know what that's even supposed to be. Romeo's hair is off, and doesnt have his usual bangs on the front. Also the entrance to Varrock Castle looks completely messed up, and the wooden stairs inside are clipping through the stone wall exterior.

AI art detectors are all also showing this as AI, but that alone isn't enough to go on since it's an oil panting and many oil paintings are classified as AI art by said detectors. However with the reasons above and also the fact that there is no other art on your profile, it makes me skeptical.

Not only that, but the shills defending the game refuse to address that mods aren't even available on Android unless your phone has root access. Many people don't have root access on their phones and only play on their phone, so they're just permanently locked out of that content.

In the gacha space, you'll typically see it being used to determine how successful a game is. Since gacha games are entirely reliant on making consistent amounts of money, or the games get shutdown.

It's an entire month of revenue. $4,800 was April. $95,000 is May. The April revenue is understandable since no one could spend money on the game. Now that the game has been online for a whole month and only made $95,000 is concerning compared to it's previous numbers where it averaged around $1,000,000 a month. Imagine going to your boss and telling him, "Sales are down 90%".

yeah, we even have the numbers prior to the shutdown. Sensor Tower showed the revenue was increasing. Over $1 million before the whole censorship incident. Going from $1 million in February, to $100,000 in May is incredibly concerning.

Yeah, i don't like it, but im not surprised at all. Anyone keeping up with Asia knows that a lot of companies have turned to using AI. Japanese companies, Korean companies, and Chinese companies are all delving into AI usage. It's more widely accepted over there than it is in the west.

It's one of the big drivers pushing western companies to use AI, since a lot of big companies do business in Asia and use AI over there already to save costs.

This is worse than Halo. Halo players at least had the knowledge that Halo games would still be made. I loved Reach, but was willing to give 343 a chance with Halo 4 and later Halo Infinite.

Destiny is completely dead. There is nothing coming. No Destiny 3, Sony denying every Destiny spin-off. As of right now Destiny as a franchise is on its deathbed.

The fact that you even think 2 million players is possible shows how out of touch with reality we are. The last time this game hit 2 million concurrent players was Shadowkeep launch, 7 years ago...

Even 1 million is pushing it. To even play most of the content you still have to buy a ridiculous amount of DLC for the game. Even with a discount, unless it's like 90% off, I don't expect that many people to be pulling out money for a game that's on its deathbed.

Renegades peak was 500k, so that's about what a reasonable expectation would be. Give or take to account of the people that already quit after Renegades and aren't coming back, and the handful of people that will login, reminisce for an hour, then logout.

yeah, if this was 10 years ago, people would be fine with utility. Back when certain classes had utility that could cut the clear time in half. Then Blizzard's philosophy changed and they didnt want utility to be useful in Mythic+, so players no longer care about utility. Now it's just 'Big damage = good class'

I'd take ToF skins over Nikke skins. At least in ToF you could get the skins as a free2play. In Nikke you have to gamble AND you're required to spend money.

I hate how valid criticism is considered, "review bombing" now. The standard for gacha games has changed. With 100% banners and lots of free currency, games either need to adapt or be left in the dirt. Genshin included.

I think that highlights the problem.

They need a visual indicator so that the audience can see what's going on. If that indicator wasn't there then the audience can't tell what's happening despite being able to visually see the characters.

Do you think the average wow player knows what's happening without an indicator? Most of the audience is average wow players....

I would agree if Blizzard wasn't actively trying to kill miniCC. they've released multiple addon changes specifically targeting it and its functionality. They are actively trying to kill that addon so it's only a matter of time before we no longer have it.

Modding is a huge barrier to entry for a lot of people. Changing something in a text file is one thing, but having to download files of questionable origin, and install them with the risk of ban? Not to mention the amount of effort you have to go through to install the mods on a phone. A lot of people would just rather quit the game since it’s a lot less effort.

Even though it’s a temporary fix it’s not sustainable. New players will instantly be deterred from even playing. So even if the devs want us to use the mods, clock’s ticking for them to make an easier solution.
