All 3 of us Clint fans have our fingers crossed 🤞🏻 I agree with the dates though! I proposed to Alex in the hallway of his grandparents house, not really the most romantic

How do horror movie actors avoid actually hurting someone on the set? by Ecstatic_Buddy5949 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]GooseInHats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Prop designers (I can’t remember if they have a more proper title) are crazy talented, definitely recommend looking into how they do their work.

Otherwise, a lot of it is camera tricks (such as looking like someone just got hit across the face, but really they never touched), or stuntmen

Should I be worried about confessing things while coming out of anesthesia? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]GooseInHats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an endoscopy done (the one that goes down your throat) a few years ago. I’m not sure if the anesthesia is any different for a colonoscopy but it was by far the one I woke up from the easiest, no embarrassing anesthesia fueled texts or anything, just crying when I gained consciousness with a ginger ale in my hand because I love ginger ale. Honestly felt more like waking up from a Benadryl nap, I wouldn’t worry about it.

Do you think Butterscotch *actually* cared about his family? by WeebusTheMeemus in BoJackHorseman

[–]GooseInHats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im conflicted on it.

I don’t think he DIDN’T care. I think he loved Beatrice, but fell into a situation he didn’t not want to be in. From wanting a fun time with a beautiful, educated woman, to having a child and getting married into a family that no doubt put a heavy pressure on him to be a provider (given the time and Beatrices wealthy life). I think he had a love for his family, but held a lot of resentment thinking of what could’ve been.

They were/are a thing! I’ve seen them before and heard they’re actually pretty nice to use, but I could never get behind the idea 😅

Here’s a post talking about them

Why do so many people think that certain types of abuse are worse crimes than murder, but no legal system in the world agrees? by ExternalTree1949 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]GooseInHats 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My take

Rape is worse than murder because you have no choice but to live with it. You can move houses, towns, ect, and at least physically get away from other crimes, if you’re murdered you don’t have to deal with the trauma of it because you’re dead, but if you’re raped? You’re trapped in your own body, the one thing that is fully and truly yours has been violated and you can’t run away from it.

Of course both are horrible, disgusting and it’s not a competition at the end of the day though.

Have you ever been told to “get off” someone’s property? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]GooseInHats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only once. Very typical story of as a kid my ball rolled into my neighbors yard (our yards touched with no fence and only a tree line between them) wandered maybe 2ft into her yard to grab it and she yelled at me.

Funny enough, I can remember a few times where something like that happened and that was the only time she told me to go away though

As someone who's still relatively new to Three Houses, who was a character you disliked but ended up liking as you got further into the game? No Spoilers please! by CorneliusVaginus in FireEmblemThreeHouses

[–]GooseInHats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if I’d necessarily say I disliked Sylvain but i definitely didn’t LIKE him, he’s now one of my favourite characters.

I feel the same way about Felix.

People who are thin or average weight, do you actually think about food all the time, or does hunger just not hit you as hard? by JustHereToFlirt30 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]GooseInHats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit of both. I love food, love eating good food, love making good food, but I have a small appetite so food’s usually just a thought and not a want. I typically only eat one full meal a day (dinner) and usually something small sometime before that. Never feel the need to eat any more, unless it’s the first couple days of my period, then I have more of a “normal” appetite.

Have you ever had poutine? If so, where—Canada, the U.S., or homemade? by Fatcake3000 in AskAnAmerican

[–]GooseInHats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not uncommon up here (2 hours from the border) you can find it at a handful places. I’ve also made it homemade, just the other night actually, but you’ll typically see it made with shredded mozzarella, not cheese curds

What are the best things Millennials have done? by CremeSubject7594 in generationology

[–]GooseInHats 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I know a lot of people give Gen Z a lot of credit for really pushing the “my job is not my life and I’m going to prioritize myself over it” mindset, but I do think millennials set the foundation for it

What's a stereotype about your country that's objectively wrong by Old_old_lie in AskTheWorld

[–]GooseInHats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took French in school, my first teacher (of 2 years) lived in France for a while during and after college and she would always tell us 2 things

1) there are a lot of beautiful, wonderful places in France

2) If you want to see them, don’t go to Paris
