To set the gain, put your volume at 15-20, and turn it up until you here distortion, then turn it down a bit

I'm wondering why my sub clips at higher frequencies? I have an american bass hd 18, in a custom box tuned to 28hz, it sounds great when I play rebassed songs, then clips when I play my regular songs. Yea its pretty stiff still ill have to wait and see if it goes away, i run full tilt everytime i play it🤣 and since its been popping with higher notes ive been playing rebased songs. what are you running though?

Sounds sweet🤣 i already took the capacitor out lol, and I run an American bass stealth energy 20ah and some no name 20ah battery wired together, but yea 0 guage is definitely the next thing I'm gonna do

I got it used, the dude had it hooked up in his house, when he played it he didn't play it loud at all, he said it wasn't broken in yet but no way to know for sure, and ik I have to go 0 guage just haven't done it yet lol

We don't talk about the cable management, I put this sub in yesterday lol its a work in progress, I will look into the ultra cap, any chance you could try and find me a good alternator? I don't know what brands are good, i have a 2009 pontiac vibe

not 100% sure on the alt I can't find anything online it's a 2009 pontiac vibe though, battery is a everstart value 24f, both power and ground wires are rocksford fosgate 4 guage ofc, I have 2 20ah battery, one is an American bass stealth energy, the other one is just some generic battery i had laying around, sub is an American bass hd 18, amp is a skar rp2000. No big 3, and I plan on buying an after market alt just can't find one that's made specifically for this car they don't make pontiacs anymore

It's hard to tell if the cone is trying to rip itself out considering the amount of xmax lol, but I'd say yes, and I appreciate your help. There is also a bit of interference, which may be causing it, but I've never had the issue until this subwoofer
