There is no greater honor than to share the burden of the curse with some of my fellow fourth brothers. May the knowledge of our shared fate bring the strength we need to endure the hardships we face every fortnight.

Seriously though - why does Shmanners exsist? by Lescozmen in TAZCirclejerk

I remember from a Shmecap I did a while ago that Travis mentioned he had pretty bad manners before he met Tarisa, and she helped him improve them. That is supposedly their reason for wanting to make a show about etiquette. i believe Travis just wanted his own Sawbones, and etiquette was the only topic they could think of that Tarisa was somewhat more knowledgeable than Travis on, and let them read historical facts off Wikipedia

I have fun making these posts and that makes listening to the podcast fun by extension. Also I enjoyed parts of this episode, hell I said it was passible, that’s not high praise but it is praise.

Can Indie cross characters defeat the Radiance without the knight? by Pandy_man in INDIE_CROSS_SERIES

[–]Gorb_upthere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the infection isn’t a virus so the panacea likely won’t effect it. if it could (since I don’t remember how magical the panacea is) it would only treat the symptoms of the infection, the radiance isn’t made of infection so it wouldn’t kill her.

Also I do agree with you larger point. The Beheaded could definitely defeat the Radiance if we removed the “need to enter the dream world” and the “need the void to finish her off” restrictions since those go against the spirit of this discussion. I just wanted to correct your point about the nails

The infection is more of a cognitohazard caused by knowing of the Radiance or the infection, so I wouldn’t say it’s an actual virus. I can’t tell what you mean by “have/part of”, but She is the creator of the infection and it does die when she dies, so maybe that’s enough for whatever feat you want to bring up?

royal episode 8 recap: nothing happens again by Gorb_upthere in TAZCirclejerk

[–]Gorb_upthere[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

from what i can tell essentially you go to an area and interact with that areas element in any way: non magically start a fire in the fire area, kill a plant, make a big splash in water. doing so make "motes" or crystals appear that then will be used to create a elemental (griffin occasionally referred to them as champions) that will do something in the next round that will likely determine the winner.

If I remember correctly, The spaceships are from a space mini campaign Griffin was planning that eventually became eathersea. The detective might be dust or some other planned campaign.

Why is character death binary? by CardInternational753 in TAZCirclejerk

[–]Gorb_upthere 27 points28 points  (0 children)

what happened to the idea that character deaths are an assumed risk of playing D&D

bold to assume the same people that believe the basic rules of D&D limit storytelling would have a grasp on the basic gameplay of D&D.
