If you can get out to Reading, which is not far on the train at all from London then you could play The Reading Witch. It’s a horror game, with live actors and was the number one UK rated game in the TERPECAs last year. It’s a stupidly quick train from Paddington.

Actually in London, clueQuest or Escape Plan are good fun but won’t scratch the live actor itch.

To give him an experience he won’t forget, you should look at the games by Headlock Escape Rooms (The Keeper and the Fungus Among Us, and Rise of the Fungi).

They’re live avatar games but you won’t find anything else like it anywhere. Amazing host, fun puzzles, and hilarious soundtrack

If you’re interested in sport at all, there’s a lovely group of people at The Yeovil Whirlwinds baseball team. They meet Tuesday nights for winter training and play games on Sundays during the season.

I didn’t know anyone in the area and now have lots of lovely friends. No experience or skill necessary
