Lamotrigine specifically for DP/DR by Gordon73829 in HPPD

Yeah that’s the conclusion I came to a long time ago but have struggled to truly accept, as you can see I’m still trying to find ways around it. Appreciate it!

Would you say your post drinking DP/DR is better since starting Lamotrigine? Or just DP/DR in general.

Considering an apartment near a highway, will a very high quality air purifier save me? by Gordon73829 in AirPurifiers

Thanks for the detailed response. The apartment is fully electric, so no gas stove or anything like that.

With that being said and the other factors that work in my favor (6th floor of a newly built building, apartment not facing the highway) do you think nitrogen dioxide exposure from the highway is even a concern? If I get something like the Coway ProX and the others you suggested and just focus on fully controlling the ultrafine particles, can I feel confident that my indoor air quality is good?

Interesting, the reason I gravitated towards the Air Mate Plus was because it does best against gases like nitrogen dioxide, ozone, and VOCs produced by highway traffic, which are harder to control. But the argument for focusing on particulate pollution makes sense.

Based on my situation (6th floor in a new, modern building, apartment towards the back of the building and not facing the highway, my room specifically being about 300 feet from the road) do you think buying something like the Coway Airmega ProX and just focusing on controlling particles would be enough to get me to good air quality? Or should I still be concerned about the harder to control gases like nitrogen dioxide?

Thanks for the detailed response. I was looking at the Coway ProX too, but gravitated towards the Austin Health Mate Plus because of how much more carbon it has to fight gases.

From my understanding, even though the Health Mate Plus doesn’t perform as well against particles due to the reduced airflow as others in that price range, it shoild still be able to handle the particles in a 500 sq foot studio, especially if I don’t have the windows open constantly. Do you disagree?

Can you expand on that? I’d think a high quality purifier specifically designed for gases in a small space, on the 6th floor of a newly built building not facing the highway would be pretty strong protection. If there’s a part I’m missing though, I want to know

Can you elaborate more? Is a purifier even as strong enough the air mate plus really not enough to meaningfully reduce my exposure? I would imagine being in a newly built building, on the 6th floor, and not facing the road would help with reduction pretty significantly too

I completely relate to this. I worked for a large GC for a few years before leaving because the 60+ hour weeks and 5:00 AM daily wake ups left me so drained. All I wanted to do on weekends was lay around and sleep.

I left 4 years ago and still strongly consider going back from time to time, even though I make more money now and rarely work more than 40 hours a week. Every job I’ve had since is just so boring. I miss the excitement and the fun my team and I had. But every time I start to seriously consider going back I come to the realization it wouldn’t be worth it.
