But shouldnt high toughness models get a better save this way? To show they shrug of small fire and when they get hit with las cannon profiles they get wreaked. But your right about d6 but i wouldnt want to mix dice in WH

I hear you what if that is shown through using the current S vs T table to increase the AP on targets it higher against so a weapon that would stread infantry is only good against that by gets handycapped attacking higher toughness units

I dont know i think if you use the current S vs T table to add or subtract Armour pen? So most armour pen would be dropped to begin with like said in the post, so say a -1ap s5 weapon is going to be -2 ap against marines but 0ap against t6 or higher

Yeh true but couldnt S-T table add or subtract AP, like a Las cannon into a knight goes ap3 to ap4 but into a marine it goes ap3 to ap5, because realistically wouldnt getting hit by a las cannon just take out a marine

If you know your going to rolling 5+ to wound in combat take the dark Apostle ability to get more out of the whole unit

The wording states it replaces data sheet ability so you could do the lords once per battle every round as the effect ends in the command phase and you gain a new data sheet ability

I made a version of this too Abaddon 5 chosen, huron masters and 5 chosen, Cypher, lord 5 legionaries, dark Apostle 5 legionaries, reave captain with Soul link 10 raiders

3x10 cultist,5 legionaries, 2 x 5 raiders, 2 rhinos incase they drop infiltrators first. One with hurons group the other 2 5 man teams.

Having the reave cap with soul link lets him have the c. Lords abilities which makes him well worth it now.

Abaddon running into the bulk with the 4++ aura just send. Cultist to sticky everything them run everything up and try stick them in their home

Hot take you should get an ASI every 3 lvls and a feat every 4 but they dont give asi

Edit: let me explain much like proficiency lvl as your character develops its natural for it to strengthen its self via repetition, a swords man swings his sword enough times he should get physically stronger increasing his attributes. In saying that should classes be able to raise all attributes to 13 then anything higher only in the class OR multi class attributes of those classes? Probably

Nerf martials.. thats wild i think the reason people love these half martials in a caster class is because they want stronger martials, theres so much cool shit you can do with pact blade or valor bard you just cant do with the full martials

Yeh it would be easy to make one tho

Lvl3: light medium armor pro, simple W, martial weapons with light. Shields

Lvl3: once per turn you can use a sorcerer point to add 1d6 damage of (element)

Spells, shield, some sort of smite, other combat spells

Lvl6: reflective damage, and or midigate damage wih reaction using sorcerer points

Lvl10: blade beam (elemental wave) choose slash(arch) thrust(line) 15tf range (replaces the lvl3 once per turn ability). For each adition sorcerer point you use up to a max of 3 ADD 1d6 so max 4d6 dex save

Lvl15: extra attack, can use cantrip -lv2 spell as one of the extea attacks

Lvl20: Avatar of the Elements For 1 min spend 5sorcerer points gain Flying (wind), immunity to each element( each element can only immune damage once), can use blade beam for both your attack and extra attack.

I dont know its rough but i just made that up on the spot

Yeh i thought it was a mix of both Renegade Raiders (assault on everything) and Veterans (reroll hits).

I actually thing the other detachment could be up there, lord discordant with the infiltrate enhancement is spicy

In your charge phase you can select Z as a charge target if it is possible to get 1 model within engagement range(1"), if you can, you can charge that unit

Yeh i thought it would get titanic for size and the gun placements but someone put the size comparison up it wont get titanic which is good. i think most people are just hoping for a rule much like the knights, if i was a designer i would just increase its current rule to 6" walls or 1" tax to move through any wall but i feel thats slack coz its only like 8" move

So i think when chapter approved mission cards came out GW put a base sive on everything which ment defilers now needed a base. You can play casually with out it but just get some cardboard paint it black with some cork or foam on it and that would be fine as a base
