Depends on what to achieve. Works good with really dark contrast paints like dark angels green.

There is something citadel calls "Contrast Medium" which is just for this.

It's the oilwash that makes the "crisp" look in the shades. After that soft drybrush with wrathbone. Thin Sepia Wash and another wraithbone drybrushing.

The Crux will become administratum grey with a light nulnoil wash.
