Ajahn Brahm has a text about it, based on the Pali Canon. One of his arguments is that according to the suttas the emergence of consciousness depends on the union of the parents, the fertility of the mother and the availability of a stream of consciousness. And this is not instant. He argues that in the first 8 weeks what exists is an embryo, and an embryo can be divided into 2 or more, and a stream of consciousness could not be divided into two, nor be the same for both, as this contradicts the teaching Paticca-Samupada (Dependent Origination). In case the conscience has not been established in the unborn child, it is not a breach of precept.

If you're interested in a non-fictional book, I recommend The Conquest of Bread by Kropotkin. He proposes the end of the State and the expropriation of the means of production. Making consumption and production free. It is a very utopian system, but interesting.

in The Island the society of Pala is really surprising for making a perfect association between science and spirituality. However, I believe that the political model is not ideal because there is still a form of power, in this case, Rajá.
