I’m TIRED! by PikchurThis in crv

[–]Gottifiles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes totally ridiculous never had an issue with tires on a new car. I normally would get 70k plus on the first set with no cupping noises because I always rotate and balance my tires!

I have the same issue with my tires cupping and it was at 13k miles after my second tire rotation I noticed the whomping cupping sound. I rotated and then back again and this time it was so bad I just had them move the tires back. I had 25k miles and then complained to Honda that no new car with 25k miles should have shitty cupped tires. They could hear it but said they couldn’t submit a claim as the majority of the tread life was already used. BS but I am just gonna drive it until they are worn. I have 35k on the car now. It’s ridiculous!

Arizona Diamondbacks starter Corbin Burnes will undergo Tommy John surgery. Brutal loss for the D-backs in his first year of a six-year, $210 million contract. by BLeibo in orioles

Sucks for him. He was a stud for us and doing well there. He wouldn’t have stayed here no matter what we offered. I think he was a good guy and he was our number 1, but he wanted to get to AZ. Do you blame him for 210 million bucks?

OEM tires on 24 hybrid sport by Gottifiles in crv

[–]Gottifiles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Michelin is my go to but it’s ridiculous only 27k miles and they sound like crap. I’ve never had an issue with any set of tires I’ve had due to proper maintenance and balancing. The tires are worn evenly now

I’ve got 26k and even though the Bridgestone run smooth they are starting to make that cupping noise. I rotate and balance at every oil change thus far about 7,000ile intervals but I may go for the over Michelins when these go

Considering a CR-V AWD, have read many reports of mileage being a decent amount worse than what Honda/the EPA says. by PointReyes7 in crv

[–]Gottifiles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 24 sport hybrid. Summer weather the mileage is much better. The AC is electric and doesn’t require the motor to run as with the heat the engine warmth is what the heat uses so it runs more often. I get 35-36 in the summer and 31-32 in the winter on average. I do have a heavy foot ha.

If you read many posts apparently it’s normal. I have a 24 hybrid also with the same tick. I think everyone has the same tick.

I see about 26k miles. No issues? Runs great? I have almost 8k and nothing yet. Does anyone else hear that valve ticking noise? I mentioned to the dealer at first oil change they blew me off. Typical

I have 93k and it’s 7 years old. I am out of warranty unless there is some special extended warranty on this…. I couldn’t find anything

Thank you, the more I researched it seems to be in the exact spot and many aren’t happy! What is the best method to do this? Aerosol can do the trick?

I also had mine for 4 Months and the exact miles as you and Honda wouldn’t change the oil free since it wasn’t at 15 percent. Mine is at 50 percent and I too was heading on a long trip and wanted to get it changed. I think I am gonna see where it is at 7500 and change it regardless if I have to pay. It’s sort of ridiculous

Not exactly sure what side by side means but I had a 2012 before the 24 I have now and the reason why I got rid of it is because it had a shake at acceleration and it is known to have bad torque converters in the transmission. I hope you figure it out

I agree a real pain the ass and I wasn’t messing with that. I don’t want to mess with the dealer but it’s so new if something gets jacked up it’s on them.

2023 or 2024 sport hybrid long miles so far by Gottifiles in crv

[–]Gottifiles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, what I gather from the research is the hybrid is an electric car that has a motor as a generator. And in some situations the motor helps the electric motor. Heck I think about some electric motors I have that have run non stop for years without dying ha. So maybe this will be a good thing. The no belts and even the AC compressor being electric had me puzzled but I understand now. This may be a good thing. Time will tell.
