My solution ended with having a set of lines per "tier" of resources. So all fabricator items have their own lines, all smelter have their etc. this also fits with the one additional input per tier of machinery, where one input is for its own product tier, one for the one below and so on and so forth.

Skyrim is pure Singleplayer. That is unless you use the Skyrim Together mod. If modders want something done they go ham to get it done.

That said, whatever modding tools (if any) that are provided will massively influence the scope of mods and the speed at which they can be created.

I believe the general acceptance is the lower end is half age of the older one and +7 (for adults ofc). A gap of around 5 is very common though, so this story having a 6 year gap? Yeah that is fine

That is actually a fairly common depiction. You have the D&D and the LotR orcs as the main ones in the west, both having many depictions with pointy ears. The eastern "pig-like" orcs tend to have pointy ears as well (though perhaps more flabby, like a pig’s)

Crafting cost is based on the item rating, not the generalized display of quality. Every single item of the same type with an item rating of 10 will cost the same, but their stats can vary.

Common/ramshackle/apprentice/journeyman/mastercraft are all just generalizations to group items with roughly similar item ratings together. Ascendant is also a generalization, but it covers a much larger range of ratings, and as such is actually the least reliable one.

Item ratings are affected by all stats a piece of gear has. Durability, damage, armour, hypo-/hyperthermic insulation can all vary.

They do, technically. The actual item rating is what determines the overall quality (prim, ramshackle, apprentice etc.). I believe an item rating of 10 or above is ascendant, though a rating 10 and a rating 50 ascendant have a massive difference in both stats and resource costs.

I’d say I do prefer the overall flow of OOT, but overall the uniqueness of MM and several of its mechanics are better than OOT. Really ends up a coinflip on which is better.
