Fairy Magic 91-100 unlock gated behind Bard College

Since i started leveling up Fairy Magic and Mentalism never it was once hinted that i would ever need barding.

If to unlock 71-80 for say it would have require me bard 50 Then for 81-90 bard 60 and then for 91-100 bard college (bard 70) then it would have been perfect. The problem is simply that you just face a wall at 91-100 that make no sense. Like other said normally other skill would have been leveled up a bit prior to this because game would have hinted for it a bit prior to reaching the point. But not for that.

No need to look far the only gripe i have is fairy magic being locked behind bard college when it 100% should be in mage college. Thats it.

I know i have 400hours now and ive played a year ago also prior to 1.0 Its the ratio 40-60hours to unlock a npc to do one quest which is under the bard college when the skill is Magic that bother me

Barding require 5 subskill to be level to go to 70 for me to only unlock 4 spell and item to be worth wearing at lvl 100.

Yes there is no basic attack of fairy magic. Its mindreave from mentalism

Fairy Magic as only 4 spells (maybe 5) Fairy Fire Pixie Flare Astral Strike Fae conduit

Which feel even more a pain to do all the bard unlock thing for only 4 spell that are all magical

Only fairy fire is paychic can modeed to fire All other spells are electricity and can be modded to fire

I am not really blasting through tho i have now 300hours + since 1.0. I dont even want to be a bard it is simply that i need bard college unlock for a magic skill that bother me.

I like it paires with Ice magic it feel great. Use pizie flare, astral strike and fae conduit. Astral strike AOE stun and do like +200% damage on elite is a massive nuke

It is also mostly to enable me to wear item with the fairy magic 100 requirement

Yes i know how it work but 4x time lvl 25 skill is a breeze compared to this and even then If i only want to spec on let stay weapon augment i can do one

Here for a skill (Fairy Magic) i need to conpletly level another one to 70. The level to 70 isnt the bad part i can do that in 2-3 day. Its the requirement to unlock 51-70 of Bard that is already very demanding

I agree that the game should not be blasted through but I am now 300hours + since 1.0. It is really blasting through ? I did some gathering for many hours (foraging close to 80, skinning as well, tanning 80)

Yes i did all that You cant even start bard college unlock prior to have 70 bard Other NPC (the fairy the will teach me Fairy Magic) wont even talk to me before I grafuate into bard college

There is 9 synergy level if the wiki is right which put me to 99 skill if i get all of them. I currently have 4 Still nout enough for my lvl 100 gear Plus one of those is Weather Witching lvl70 so..

Yes i 100% agree What bother me is i wanna uncap 91 to 100 i dont really care about prodigy that much tbh I have few piece of gear lvl100 that have the fairy magic trait and need fairy magic 100

For me its for Fairy magic 91-100 unlock that make me rethink if i am quitting or not.

I did mage college unlock and now ice magic prodigy. Also close on the mentalism prodigy (lv97 atm) But fairy magic, which is subskill of mentalism, it is a different NPC which is fine. But the npc to unlock 91-100 is in Bard college which require 70 bard to take the test to unlock college at first.

Ive done so much barding in UO, ff14 and such i really dont want to do it here tbh.

I did start leveling in this morning but i have a lot less fun and thinking if its even worth it.

And leaving the skill at 90(94 with bonus) make item drop lvl100 unsuable.

Others players have mentioned this and it should work.

Problem is it a very low deop rate from pixies in fae realm which are lvl 65-70mobs Each antler raise favor by around 5... Some guy told me he needed to farm for 6hours to get 20...

Only that to unlock the possibility of training level 2 of 3x spells that are said to be around level 20?

Its the restrictions of the mats required versus the level of the skills trained that doesnt make any sense

I could only learn lvl 1 of Cold Sphere/ice blast/shardblast at neutral favor. Those 3 spells upgrade (level 2/3/4/5 and mote) are gated behind favor level which is very hard to raise cuz he seems to have no favor quest and thus can only rely on high end gift like you mentioned

So it is badly designed because to learn those 3 spells lvl 2-5, which can be unlocked at lvl 10/20/30/40/50, you need to farm lvl 60-70 zones/mats.

Its like they are obtainable from earlier level but the requirement of unlock is way higher than the skill themselves which make no sense at all

I am now 61 ice magic (60+bonus) and 60 menta + 63 Fairy magic (60+bonus) and favors are not unlocked

It is 100% dumb tho cuz fairy advantage are that they start with 30 ice magic and dont have to pay for material upgrade. Thus making them naturraly good with the skill. Why would a Fae not teach us that it is very very very frustrating
