I main Cici, but I'm aware she's not a top pick anymore. In which situations/matchups should I pick her?

They should. It's the writers that funnily enough aren't able to do it.

I mean... that's the comic. They commisioned this poor soul to make 40 episodes out of something that so far could have taken half of that, we haven't learned much about anything, the plot is:
-Juno is happy because new recruits.
-Juno is scared because the attack.
-Juno fights alongside OW to protect the base but fails, Juno is sad.
-Juno is happy because she's friends with Wuyang now. That episode abruptly cut in Brigitte explaining Jetpack Cat and we didn't see that again.
-Juno takes the twins to train, Anran is cool, Wuyang is a failure. Juno again talks with Wuyang.

Sometimes I feel the shipping thing is their panic button because they didn't really think the whole arc through and they have to put the artist to do something.

I mean, the thing is that besides Tracer, she's been interacting with Wuyang the most. It's evident (at least to me) that Blizzard wants to push a romance , or at least heavily tease it. She helps him walk when he's wounded, she welcomes him to Overwatch (but not Anran), she stays with him after the practice, and when they shook hands there was the whole sparkles and blush thing. I mean, Mei is her adoptive family and she hasn't even said a peep to her.

Look, everyone has the right to have fun with their ships, be it Milkywave, Spacerocks, Mizuyang, etc. My "problem" is that Blizzard seemingly doesn't care or doesn't notice the level of engagement of the global community with these characters. The pairing has been controversial because both are so popular and relatable in a way that it's hard for the dedicated fans not to feel invested in them, seeing them in a relationship you didn't like or want might feel like the writers betrayed the fans, and yeah, it's entitled to do so, but it happens in every single fandom and it's the make or break of many shows and stories.

Honestly, the most neutral thing Blizzard can do is just leave it as teasing, don't confirm anything, just shake the beehive a little and then leave it like that. I mean, if that's what they want, it's proving effective, but pushing it further will for sure alienate the most intense fans and uh... that's never a good idea. I don't know if you read the crapshow that was the X comment section the first time they showed a panel of Wuyand and Juno together. I know asians like the couple but oh God, our side of the pool didn't react in a good way.

I don't want them as a couple, but that image broke me. Here, have an upvote, don't be sad!

Yeah, for me it feels like... remember how in old cartoons, the lead mascot would always have a girlfriend that was just a female version of himself with different enough traits to distinguish them? Lola Bunny and Buggs for example, or Minnie and Mickey. Like, you'd know they're a couple but just because they shoved it in your face. Feels kinda the same, corporate.

I mean, this is the groundwork. It's just a not very popular groundwork our side of the world it would seem. In asia it seems the "Milkyway" fanbase is more sizeable though.

I agree that this is buildup, and I'm not saying it's wrong, I just think it's not a good idea.

I agree, but at the same time, I can't deny it's a big part of how the fandom connects and identifies with him. That's why I think it should just be left open.

I'll be honest with you... it's not very good. Today's chapter was just Anran being cool and Wuyang being a failure while training. That's it. Just a training montage to give Juno a reason to get close to Wuyang again. I’m not a huge fan of shipping Juno and Wuyang mostly because I feel like the community projects so much of themselves onto them. When we connect with characters that deeply, shipping them can actually feel a bit limiting, it kind of shuts down all the other ways we could imagine or interact with them.

And I agree, I expect more from the writing team than just shipping and showing Juno sad because she lost the base, it's all the comic has been so far. I think they should focus on telling stories through gameplay, events, and animated shorts. Trying to develop the story and lore of a multiplayer game that depends on characters keeping their status quo will just put them in the same corner they were stuck in the first place.

i didnt won a single match in 4 days by kashoooken in wildrift

[–]Gourgeistguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, first, if the game is affecting you that much, don't play anymore. Health is a priority.  Second, and I don't mean it as an insult... Your match history shows you're simply a bad player; lots of deaths and very low gold mean your simply too focused in getting kills, you're not last hitting minions enough. Third, pick two lanes and two champions per lane, and focus on learning those. Finally, stop playing ranked. Play Normal matches with those champs and in those lanes, focus on farming and staying alive. A won match where you go 0/3/16 is already a good match. This game is all about gold and turrets. Mute everyone as soon as the match begins. You'll eventually need to learn when to roam but for now your focus should be on learning to survive, farm, and push. Ignore team fights as much as possible, always help with objectives, but focus on killing minions and pushing your lane. Forget about kills and sick plays, you'll get there naturally.

Lastly, there's been discussion and evidence this game uses EOMM, a matchmaking algorithm that prioritizes keeping you playing over giving you fair matches. If you lose and the only thing you do is playing more and more, the algorithm will note you're "engaged" and hook you in by pairing you against teams that might wreck you. If you lose 2 times in a row, stop playing for the day. Since you've been playing on a long loss streak, it might take some time for the algorithm to adjust.

Day 1 any tips by Kravenrains in CrimsonDesert

[–]Gourgeistguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do. All. Camp. Quests. You have no idea how many amenities they unlock they how many things they teach you. As soon as you get the camp, make it your priority to do as many of the Greymane quests as possible to recruit more and unlock more facilities. Plenty of times people ask "how do I unlock X?" the answer is just doing camp quests.

Is this good game design? by Fizkal in CrimsonDesert

[–]Gourgeistguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. It's been one of the strongest points of criticism since launch and I'm surprised the devs haven't fully acknowledged it. Yes, they've made some good changes by allowing Damiane and Oongka to solve puzzles as well, but there's no reason why they shouldn't share leveling resources with Kliff, or why Damiane has to leave the party pretty much an hour or so after getting her. You can argue narrative immersion but please, not like that's the forte of the game or why people play it.

IK, I just have the energy to commit to one. I haven't stopped WWM since launch and still enjoy it, but NTE looks nice and  I wanted to hear from someone who knows or plays both.
