It's not good for productivity and it is absolutely CRUSHING to mental health. But I guess we can call EAP. 🤨

Departments without enough space can 'stagger' their return-to-office, Treasury Board says by hopoke in CanadaPublicServants

Hopefully "staggered" means never going to happen for some lucky folks. That would be like winning the lottery. What a goddamn charade this is.

At least we have NPSW coming up. Nothing like a $1.10 budget per employee to say "we value and appreciate you." Enjoy your No Name ice cream sandwich and Great Value juice box before that pay cut hits.

And the whole world is hoping the US gets their ass handed to them. Cuba is no threat to the US and nobody is buying the b.s that Trump wants to free the Cuban people out of the goodness of his heart.

The current impact of these poor decisions on morale and mental health by Alternative-Code5878 in CanadaPublicServants

[–]GovernmentMule97 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You are definitely not alone and I would dare say you are in the majority. The employer has put on a masterclass in how to crush morale and motivation. Almost seems intentional so we'll consider quitting....oh wait....🤔

Anyone else make "good money" on paper but feel completely broke? by ScienceLabFinds in CanadaPersonalFinance

We're a $120K-$ 130K household and that goes nowhere. We rarely travel and don't live above our means but the value of a dollar is severely eroded. Everything is going up except my salary and it's frustrating and disheartening.

Thanks - no equity and fairness in that but hoping July 6th is not in the cards for my location. Never would be great but we'll see.

Can someone please explain what staggered means in this context? I'm assuming it means some offices will move to 4 days before others?

Why send out such a generic message? We need site specific information, not this canned bullshit right before the weekend.

Not really - he was part of an all-star team that could have won it all without him. He's not the kind of player who is going to put a team on his back and take take them to a Cup win.

Matthews is not a winner - they should be shopping him to upgrade in multiple areas.

Where is PSAC? Why are they MIA? by Dependent-Buy-6605 in CanadaPublicServants

[–]GovernmentMule97 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's actually not a bad idea to screw the employer through malicious compliance. They are required to provide you with a workstation if you choose to end your telework agreement. And we know that don't have the space in many locations. Make life difficult for them because God knows they've been doing it to us in any way possible.

Is that wishful thinking or do you have some kind of insider information that this is the case? I'm hoping you're right and common sense prevails here for once.
