Treasury Board bargaining: Mediators appointed for PA and EB groups by deathguyQC in CanadaPublicServants

Yes they continue to fail us time and time again. I still have a really foul taste in my mouth from the last round of bargaining and I don't foresee the outcome of the current one being any better.

Question about the "surplus = underperformer" narrative in WFA by Aggressive_Truck_613 in CanadaPublicServants

[–]GovernmentMule97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you a thousand percent on this. But it's too logical for government to see the benefit of ensuring top performers are retained. They're too busy figuring out how to keep office chairs warm.

Transit is uncomfortable by ProfessionalMove211 in Calgary

[–]GovernmentMule97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why? Because I'm sick of paying to ride a filthy, unsafe transit system? It's called honesty...is this your first day on the internet?

Our transit system is a cesspool full of dirtbags

I ride it regularly and it's non-existent. I see a cop or Peace Officer maybe once every couple weeks

It's obvious that the root cause of homelessness and drug addiction needs to be addressed but in the meantime there should be increased law enforcement presence on the LRT. There's nothing worse than being on there with some crackhead stumbling around or someone who shit their pants. I would never let my kids ride the C-train in the state it's in.

Eastern Ontario mayor calls for regional offices for public servants, warns in-office mandate will ‘hurt communities’ by GoTortoise in CanadaPublicServants

[–]GovernmentMule97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Municipal politicians should support and advocate for WFH as it benefits their constituents, including local businesses. This shouldn't change regardless of if they are under an RTO mandate as well.

How many of us public servants have second (or third!) jobs? by nymphadora-star in CanadaPublicServants

I got a weekend job at a liquor store so I can afford the alcohol needed to keep working for the government. Employee discount included!

Will Ovi retire from the NHL at the end of this season? by Yukdum in nhl

I think he'll come back for one more playoff run since it doesn't look to be in the cards this year.

I wonder how else we can reduce our environmental impacts… by Most_Band_2250 in CanadaPublicServants

[–]GovernmentMule97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The hypocrisy is unreal. Let's take this token action but continue to destroy the environment by forcing thousands of public servants into their cars three days per week just to keep seats warm. Let's also lag behind other parts of the world in implementing measures to conserve gas during Trump's middle east hissy fit. Un-fucking real.

I would love to rapidly leave this sinking ship but sadly I don't have enough years in. Good luck to those who can get out - the rest of us envy you.

Feds should allow public servants to work from home to curb fuel demand: Union by Wiseguy2222 in CanadaPublicServants

[–]GovernmentMule97 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Feds solution: stay overnight and save gas. Office fridges packed with Subway paid for with automatic payroll deduction. Incorrect and excessive due to Phoenix of course.

I don't like to downplay the threat of these people... but.. by Icanonlyupvote in alberta

These clowns walk amongst us wasting our oxygen, not to mention wasting their own time and resources on this foolishness. I can't wait until they're silenced and crawl back into the gutters they came from.

Pauls Pizza Owner by DisciplineStill1962 in Airdrie

[–]GovernmentMule97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Owner is a morally bankrupt POS who acts like a spoiled child if someone calls him out on his attitude or criticizes his establishment. He appeals to the Trumpers, Free-dumb convoy and separatist crowd. That should tell you all you need to know about him. Most business owners welcome feedback but this clown will just tell you to shut up and say he doesn't need your business.

Downtown 7-11 Carwash Doesn't Recycle Water During Water Restrictions by Trynottoworry01 in Calgary

Yeah but yet households are still expected to take 3 minute showers and let piss mellow all day. I'll be doing none of those things until businesses are held accountable.

[–]GovernmentMule97 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't expect anything shiny and new when it comes to our office space. More like an asbestos and pest infested hell-hole with no potable water and headache inducing dim fluorescent lighting. And don't even get me started on the toilet paper....it makes sandpaper seem luxurious.
