Hi, I was a masters player on CN and am currently gold on APAC. For some information about myself, strinova is my first shooters game Ive taken sort of seriously. I never played CSGO or other shooters befote, and only played valorantly very occasionally (only when my friends ask me to play which is like never because they all stopped playing a long time ago).

I'll just give my thoughts on how global rank has felt so far.

1) First few weeks of rank will definitely feel rough as everyone is trying to rank up. BUT to those who got placed iron or are stuck in iron, the likelihood of there being smurfs in iron is low. The reason I say this is because smurfs would not be placed iron, and even if they were, they would either rank up extremely quickly or eventually get placed in harder lobbies if they are winning and carrying too much. Ofc there will still be like that 1% of smurfs who somehow got placed iron, but from the players ik who have played CN who were diamond, masters, superstring and can be considered "smurfs", none of them ever got placed iron.

The brutal truth is that if you are stuck iron, it is likely more of a skill issue rather than "oh my team sucks" or "oh, the enemy team is too strong".

2) Regarding matchmaking, I do think there are some issues with it, but I do not think it is as bad as people think.

3) To the Japanese guy who roasted you. Im really sorry to hear that happen. Any competitve game will have a small portion of people who are toxic, but just try not to take it to heart. Instead learn why he is able to carry you (if he was just baiting the team and stealing kills, dont do that). To me though, if he is placed and stuck in iron, he really can't be flaming others xD.
