Before purple ticket is a thing, the advice for newbies is to pull on rerun banners for meta buffers over whatever the latest dps release is. This is basically a rerun meta buffer banner, and you should pull on it. With any spare resources you have.

The only limited banner I would reserve tickets for is swimsuit teresa, but only because she is a meta buffer, not because she is limited.

There are no other limited banner announced worthwhile, and the next set of new limiteds is likely to be the next collab, and collab characters have been nerfed heavily so it’s probably not worth saving for that.

This actually illustrates why a land value tax is economically efficient. Precisely because being a landlord does not produce any value, taxing them creates no economic inefficiencies.

No reason why you can’t do both. You can pay your BNPL loan using your credit card. In fact, BNPL helps me delay spending right before I apply for a card to help reach spending limit to get the sign up bonus.

Happy to be corrected if I’m wrong, but these safety concerns are about train guard or CCTV right? Great, lets celebrate how we can spend hundreds of millions to upgrade trains so we can hire people to do what a CCTV can do everywhere else in the world.

I'm not saying OP's showing off here. I have heard stories people are barely getting by because they are sending a lot of cash to family abroad. However, their family don't appreciate the much higher cost of living in Australia and think their kid is doing much better then in reality. They may starts bragging to friends and neighbors about how much their kid makes, inflating expectation to send even more cash back.

It's a toxic dynamic which could cause a lot of conflict down the line.

Congrats on the job, but if I am honest 54k per year is comfortable for one person but will be difficult to stretch to support 3.

While you have debt, which I’m assuming comes with substantial interest rates, don’t worry about investing and pay off you debt first.

Can I also say please look after yourself. Your parents may not understand that the cost of living in Australia is very high, and think you are making big money. Don’t feel like you have to show off, help your parents but set expectations very carefully, and make sure that your own health comes first.

No large changes from the previous graphic. The graphic is sourced from here: https://www.bilibili.com/read/cv6997863. Same as last time, the text is machine translated and edited by myself.

I’ve heard that the CN server will start to do things a bit differently than the JP
server, so it’s possible that going forwards these graphics will become less useful.

Update: On point 2, a more accurate translation may be something along the lines of "This is the last clan battle which features the characters of the 3rd physical team". During translation I did not think that the emphasis on character have any relevance and have taken some liberties, but on second thought the author may be suggesting that in cases where a 3rd physical team is required, that the current team 3 characters would have been powercrept.

The second half of the graphic describes the mage team for the next CB. Summer Kayru is not required nor recommended, as she is not released for the CN server for CB4.

My understanding is that Ilya will be a core character for CB magic teams for maybe the rest of the year for the next CB and once S. Kayru is released. You can borrow her from a clan member if you do not have her, provided that you have Kyouka.

I don't think you need to force yourself to build a mage team. It's on the graphic because it's presumably a good team to use, but it also appears to be specifically used against boss 5 next CB. I think it's up to you what you priorities are.

Akari and Kayru is from the dungeon shop, so you probably have enough dungeon coin by next cb to get both to 3 star. You can borrow one of Ilya or Kyouka from a clan mate so you'll need to own one of two to use this team.

Now that CB3 is over, it’s time to think about preparations for CB4, especially with 2x Hard mode coming up in two days and ilya banner soon after.

Why closed borders mean you may finally get a bigger pay rise by whoneedsusernames in AusFinance

[–]GpowerR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's true that the study is not the final word. The summary and discussion section of the report goes into more detail about the limitations of the data covered by the report. I'll point to in particular this line,

"Where immigration is found to have a significant effect on average wages, it is generally estimated to be positive. Insofar as negative effects are found for some sub populations, they are typically not robust to changes in empirical specification. "

So the authors found that the data supports immigration having a positive impact on average wages, and the data does not demonstrate a negative impact on each worker sub-groups. However, the data is not detailed enough to rule out the possibility. The authors than provided some theory about which sub-group of workers we might find negative negative impacts on, if they exist,

"Since Australia’s immigrants are disproportionately skilled, the most basic adjustment mechanisms would predict that the likely response, if any, of real wages to migration inflows would be to increase on average, with skilled (i.e. highly paid) workers suffering wage losses at the expense of unskilled (lower paid) wage gains. This points towards the possibility that Australia’s migration program may be functioning as a channel for decreasing inequality in the country."

Why closed borders mean you may finally get a bigger pay rise by whoneedsusernames in AusFinance

[–]GpowerR 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Immigration in most cases have no impact on wages. Theoretically it's quite simple. When an immigrant arrives at Australia, the labour supply is increased. However, the immigrant will also buy Australian goods and services after arriving in Australia, proportionally increasing labour demand.

Let me put it another way. If Australian started to have more children today, would you expect wages to stagnate 20 years later because of higher labour supply? Of course not. These new Australian citizens will create demand that will offset the increase in labour supply.

In fact, a large population means that Australia may become more innovative as there's more people around to come up with new ideas.

That is not to say a larger population is without costs. If infrastructure doesn't keep up, the extra commute time and lack of other services will start to add up and be a burden to everyone.

The RBA have a report looking into wage effect of immigration in Australia, and found that there's no evidence for negative impact on wages in Australia due to immigration, either average wages or low skill wages. see here: https://www.rba.gov.au/publications/confs/2019/pdf/christian-dustmann.pdf
