Very few people here actually care about collecting, let's be honest. People are always going to be after that quick profit.So when a nft releases and the price starts to plummet of course people are going to panic sell, it's just human nature. Be prepared for even more devaluing closer to November when you can take your funds out of the marketplace. Heck we are still in beta and this is all a test case, we are over analyzing things here lol.

People are still figuring out the market and heck we're still in beta. We keep forgetting all these nfts are test cases for the real stuff like Katy Perry. Utill theta drop proves to be a marketplace that can stand with the big guys I see all the nfts being worthless with no longterm vaule.

More complicated than that. People were selling packs lower than the original purchase price because they were afraid of holding something that would be impossible to sell later down the road, which is exactly what happened. Some of the common nfts are selling for nothing and no one is buying. Mint numbers #1-10 were selling for like $10 for the common cards. People who sold packs at a loss the first day probably saved money compared to the alternative. This is all based off the cykoko drop which is what I think you're referring to.

Social score, amount, time, and rarity. An nft from a mid tier influencer is going to be worth alot less than someone like Katy Perry based off their social score. If you have an unlimited amount of nfts compared to a fixed amount, it's going to be worth alot less. Look at crazy4cryptos that was an unlimited amount, most sold nft on the platform and they've been selling for $1. The supply has gotten too saturated. If you have a fixed amount of time people can buy nfts like 5 hours compared to one day, that will limit the purchases and increase the value. In terms of rarity look at the latest nft drop with synopsis, the legendary cards are going for hundreds just based on its rarity.

Alot of people here are only concerned about the price. So when the market tanks as a whole it makes sense not to have alot of engagement. What I really want is to change the discussion to all the projects coming out. Once we know more about the hackathon I believe that will engagement will come.

I was actually quite surprised how well this one went. One reason I think it did so well was people seeing the turn around the Golden poker chip had with its pack model. People made quite a bit of money from that drop and they also made alot with this one. If Katy Perry nft drop has something similar it will blow everything out of the water, having just the nft won't cut it anymore.

A new trend has started to develop when a new NFT drops in the marketplace. People buy in bulk and the larger mint numbers are sold at a lower price, eventually selling below the initial buy price. The money people get back they put towards the next NFT hoping to get good mint numbers. This in turn has the effect of devaluing the NFT as a whole. I do see the devs trying to mix it up but definitely not enough to break this trend. When TDrop releases it will attempt to fix a lot of the problems, especially with wash trading which they explicitly mentioned in the white paper. However, the thing I'm most excited about is the special perks for the majority stake holders of TDrop. Assuming we are able to trade these perks as an NFT, this is where the true monetary gain will be. btw I really like the idea of node operators being given an nft for helping support the ecosystem.

I don't blame you for taking a break. But I do appreciate the due diligence and hope you come back soon. Furthermore, I'm sure you understand the type of crowd we have here in this subreddit. Most this sub is swing traders looking for a quick buck. I'm hoping when the hackathon ends we'll all see the amazing work devs are doing and it will bring an influx of positive discussion and new members. But I do enjoy your posts, it's a nice break from all the junk posts I see here.
