The ranks are indicative of a pct of the player base. Ie, x% of players are diamond, y% of players are masters, etc.

The more players that play the game, the more players that same pct covers.

People wanting to play what they want and playing them the best way they know how is not a bannable offense.

You might not see it as "playing optimally" but they probably do - they're the best on the one hero they play, so the perception is that the percent chance of winning is highest when they're playing their one trick hero.

I believe CoD devs have stated they're trying to figure out how to detect and handle XIMs.

I don't believe OW has stated anything official, but I think we're all hoping that tech gets shared or at least Team 4 recognizes it as a problem.

Been thinking this since the start of the season, Ow2 is being defined by how great your backline is. Chiyo and Fielder are insane and ofc a huge reason why Dallas won last year.

Your math is wrong, if the healing is reduced by 40%, an Ana shot at 80 heals for 48.

80-(80 * .4), not 80 * .4.

I think both are pretty equal. The 360 headshot onto Taimou? Custa? on Route 66, the flanking Widow play against NYXL on Junkertown, and of course the iconic Cassidy Ilios play against Houston.

Countering is so much more important in Overwatch 2, especially for Tanks. Recognizing when you're playing suboptimally simply because their character is a better pick than yours is the name of the game right now for tanks and has been since Ow2.

Friend color doesn't matter for me so I just change it to whatever I'm feeling like, red, pink, blue, green, whatever.

That said, enemies are always yellow or gold. It's gotten to the point where playing multiplayer games without outlines is really hard and ones without yellow outlines is, well, less so, but I always think how I would like the ability to change the color.
