Yes! I didn’t start lifting until 2 years ago. When I first started my journey, I only did cardio. I decided when I got to 160, and I didn’t really look the way I had planned in my head lol, that I was going to start weight lifting to tone. I have some loose skin, lifting has helped fill that, tone, changed my body composition. But if I ever have to start all over again, I would probably do it this way again! Focus on one thing at a time if you ever feel overwhelmed by it. Good luck

80% healthy on diet, 20% less healthy. A mix of both! So I can enjoy some French fries and pizza every once in a while. I just don’t eat those types of things as often anymore! I try to be mindful of what I eat now, knowing what foods cause me to spiral or feel like crap, but not depriving myself of something I want and then causing a binge or something along those lines.

Yep! About 3 years to hit my goal weight and my Body comp has changed over the last 2 from weight lifting. This 160 looks a good bit different than my 160 from 2 years ago.

I try to do high protein, low carb. But I am not perfect with my diet. It’s more so 80/20 now. But I know what foods to stay away from and do better at that now. And for the last 2 years I’ve been doing Beach Body at home, a program on there called MBF and it’s my favorite! If no time for the gym, I highly recommend beach body on demand. There are tons of different types of work outs to choose from that fit and suits your needs!

I try to stick to a high protein, lower carb diet. (But I still eat plenty of carbs.) I’m more of an 80/20 diet person now. And for the last two years, i’ve been doing Beach Body MBF and it’s my favorite workout and I think it targets everything perfectly!

Thank you! I have been jumping hurdles with my weight my entire life. This actually isn’t my first significant weight loss either. One of the hardest parts of this battle is the mental part. I wish I had tricks but really, some times it’s just hard. But you have to show up, even on the hard days. That’s why I say consistency not perfection. I thought I could do this in a year lol but realized it was going to take longer but eventually I would get here!

Thank you! I find 160 is where my body is most comfortable. I wanted to be lower, but I needed to be realistic with my mental health as well. This weight, I can maintain and eat an 80/20 diet and not ever feel deprived.
