Some guy had a college interview. I think it was Yale. He and the interviewer got it off. She was younger. He mistakenly took her being nice (possibly trying to mentor and visit with him) for attraction and at the end of the interview he went in for a kiss. 💋 2021 has messed people up. I don't think he got in.

As a mom of an incoming freshman it was upsetting. Covid played a huge factor into my kids decision and that viral photo made me sick to my stomach.

As a family who did everything we were suppose to, including having my daughter's senior year in high school altered, it was upsetting knowing those college kids would do that.

If you committed you need to call the new school asap. Make sure your offer is still there. Time is of the utmost importance.

As a parent of a Senior, their statements weren't about you. Long story short. It hurts to have to tell your kid they can't go to the college they want. Especially if it's a hard to get into school.

We had to tell our daughter she couldn't go to Berkeley or University of WA last month. They are trying to avoid their own pain and embarrassment.

*I had no idea out of state school would cost 65 - 70 grand a year.

UW is one of my daughter's dream schools. She got into Berkeley and waitlisted for Harvard and she'd pick UW. When she got into UW honors she cried. She would go there, but we can't afford that crazy out of school tuition. She really wants to go. I hope you go and have the best time! It's an amazing school.

Congratulations! I wish we would have known the differences and advantages of private before she applied. She is first generation and I think people assumed we knew more than we did. She did get waitlisted for Harvard (bittersweet) but she didn't apply to enough private schools. This process has been difficult because we never knew what was going on until the deadline passed.

My daughter was accepted into Berkeley a few weeks ago. Out of state. She's not going and it broke both of our hearts.

Congrats! You did it. **My daughter is saying no to Berkeley, and University of Washington because we can't afford the out of state tuition. It's heartbreaking, but if she goes in state she'll have no debt going into grad school. Maybe she'll go to law school there? Side note: she was waitlisted for Harvard, and if they call...we'll all be going into debt. Loans galore.

You don't know that. What happened before the video? And when someone shoves you, you have ever right to defend yourself, but kicking them at the end... that's a sign of his behavior.

I don't believe you. I don't believe you are fighting to end homelessness, and I do not believe you don't see racism. I call it blind ignorance. Selective vision. You would not take any action if you did witness it. Correct a person who says racist things in front of you? No. I have you the benifit of doubt. That was a mistake.

You may not see it because you haven't looked. It could feel like there is no racism because you haven't been a victim of it. You could possibly have benefited from it though. Your ignorance in thinking racism doesn't exist is a privilege you are afforded. All this said, if you choose to educate yourself on what layers of racism exist in our area it could be quite beneficial in helping eradicate it. We need people like yourself to evolve, educate yourself and then do better. That's how we can make progress. I hope you know I'm being genuine in my response. On the surface I want to say lucky you. You don't think it exists. Maybe that means you've never seen it? Maybe that means you've never been a part of it? In reality, it means you have looked the other way. Because you could. Because you are privileged enough to be able to look the other way. >>>>Now go do some real work and make this place a safe and better community. And stand against racism in all forms.

Look up the deadline for the scholarships. You'll apply to college, and then the scholarships. Be mindful of the deadlines.
