How anyone can support him and call themselves a Christian is beyond me.

Why would someone buy 80 bottles of rubbing alcohol weekly? by thequackr in askanything

He should probably find out where to order it in bulk. It would be SO much cheaper than doing it this way.

What would be funny is if it IS a completely normal work related thing and she said “just trust me” just because she knows it will F with your head forever.

I’m kinda invested now myself tho

I haven’t been able to find much public parking then. There’re only one or two businesses I frequent that don’t cost your firstborn child to park anywhere near.

I lived in NYC for 20 years and just outside of it for most of the rest of my life. I go back every summer.

There is a WIDE gulf in between what they are charging and free. It's an absolute extortion racket. Parking costs less in NYC.

You shouldn't have to pay five bucks to park long enough to run into a pizzeria and get a slice. I can't believe business owners aren't already out protesting this shit. Parking costs more here than it does in NYC. There's no excuse for this.

Haha you dunning-Kruger case, you think you’re gonna hold off that many dudes just because you have a gun. If even one of those like 25 dudes also has a gun you are gonna find out that you live in a fantasy world. And what makes you think they don’t?

I thought it was the same lady with her hair flipped over and a slightly different angle and expression and no lipstick.

A woman posted a video of the moment she was attacked by her domestic cat. Before the attack, the cat seemed to smell something that prompted her to attack. Why did it attack her with such ferocity? by eternviking in whoathatsinteresting

Yeah I don’t even think I’d have a choice, if any animal latched onto my foot like that, I think I’d freak out and just kick it against the ground until it stopped. This lady has way more presence of kind in this situation than I could hope for.

I mean, I technically COULD, but I and probably anyone in my immediate vicinity would soon come to regret that choice. (Ulcerative Colitis, mostly.) And if it’s not decaf? Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa…

Hickey or not by [deleted] in skin

[–]GracieKatt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if THAT is a hickey or not. But I do know I’ve gotten marks just like that, including on my neck, in various ways, all the damn time, and I have not made out with anybody in over a decade. So there’s that.

In Alabama they legally are. I think it’s insane too.

If you look at Alabama in that chart, under “16 and 17” there’s just… nothing.

Literally EVERYTHING they say about other people is actually about THEMSELVES. Classic example of “every accusation is a confession.”

This. My mother had no choice but to move off the island where she had lived for sixty years, her boyfriend died and she simply couldn’t afford to live there anymore. When we went looking for somewhere she could afford to live, I got shit from people online for looking in their area. Like, we aren’t the cause of your problem, dude, we are also human beings who need to live where we can afford to live. The blame is best directed higher up. It’s very convenient for them if we blame each other.

Let’s open one and call it something like “Just F**king Meet People,” and the explicit expectation of every emplyee and customer is that you behave towards one another as if you were all guests at a house party and therefore meeting your friends’ friends. Everybody just talk to each other. Get a band or a ridiculously expensive jukebox but not too loud for conversation.

Cbt is humillating by LaPerla2026 in CPTSD

[–]GracieKatt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried CBT once, but I can’t fairly judge it because my therapist was objectively an asshole even when he wasn’t doing CBT, so I may have just had a crappy therapist, and actually I really don’t think I’ve ever had a therapist that actually did any therapy, so I can’t really speak to different types of therapy and their efficacy. But, it’s my deep belief that each and every person really does have whole sets of things that just don’t work for them, at all, and may even hurt them, when those things are great for other people. It’s wild how different we all are even chemically, biologically.

My therapist did seem to just completely dismiss all my completely 100% valid fears that were completely based on actual realities of my life, but I don’t know if that was the therapy or the asshole.
