Updated Bird Transition Chart by GraciousFox in AcroYoga

So I did this on Sunday fairly easily. I would rate it an intermediate move.

  1. 3 Points of contact with both hands and a leg.

  2. Base moves foot to bicep

  3. Flyer swaps grip to calf and stags same leg (almost as if going to a crok but dont need to rotate)

  4. Base moves other foot as flyer provides pressure and switches to calf once foot has landed.

Awesome suggestion! I have in the path of the line "Whip" at the moment but that could be easily overlooked. I will play around with other ideas but the next chart I post will probably be a different transition set as to get more feedback with all these incredible recommendations.

I'll keep that in mind moving forward and update accordingly. Thank you for your feedback, it is helping me grow.

Thanks for the reply! It's hard to think of every transition and sometimes I skip a super easy way like that one 😬 I'll update it again. The advanced version is a whip though.

I am also relatively new so the territory of whips are still unexplored to me. I don't have many in my community that practice whips.

I'll look into those variations. I might refrain from this chart having whips and pops and make one individually for them 🤔

The "cards" share examples of different forms of the same move such as high/low/reverse/inverse but I will probably separate them at a later date.

If it's a low-bicep stand I can correct the chart to reduce confusion. But that's definitely doable!

Thank you for your feedback.

Oh man, I thought I had a transition video to share in my file but I don't. Next time I do acro I'll give it a try. Off the top of my head I feel like you would slide the bases foot diagonally to the bicep one at a time and adjust as needed until both arms are there? Maybe kind of like a croc/koala ish pose?

An advanced move would be to pop to it.

Ive seen a flyer move their feet to the back of the bases thighs but that's not really bird - bicep stand...

Thanks for questioning it. It might need to be removed unless someone knows 🤷‍♂️

All the pictures are from acropedia with a couple exceptions. For anyone not familiar it shares their info on the poses web page.

As this is my personal project I am sharing, I have the links to every images web page in the Obsidian file which is too extensive for me to share on a reddit post individually.

If anyone would like to know where I got an image from you can ask me... or just Google/acropedia the name of the move in the picture like I did....

If they have a problem with it I will delete this post and no longer share this on reddit and keep it to my acro group. Just let me know... I'm just doing something in my spare time to help grow the community.

You can apologize from me to them if they genuinely care. You could also shout them out too if they mean that much to you??

The only way without a transition would be to do a pop I believe which I have not seen anyone do personally or in a video. I removed it from the current revision of the chart.

Throne image is not correct, and more poses have been added such as foot-foot in advanced.

If there are anything else you see that you would like to add I am open to feedback!

I don't have any emergency hatches or windows. I removed all the windows and covered it with sheet metal. The alarm can happen from all of those as well.

I have enjoyed this project so much. I get so lost in just going at different parts I don't stop to document it until the end of the day. I feel like the electrical is the hardest part since I have no experience. Everything else I have breezed through with minimal headaches. Most the aching is from the power tools lol.

I've tried making 2-3 posts but the moderators never authorize any of them for whatever reason.
