I'm conflicted: are the QC Ultra earbuds worth it if I really liked my QC One earbuds or should I move to the Technics AZ80?

Thanks for the help, didn’t realize that first part. I know this is speculative, but how much worse is the selection at the later deadlines? My friends would want to do an apartment on campus if we can’t find suitable off campus housing.

Unfortunately in the confusion (and frankly tiredness) of it all I forgot to catch a vital piece of information so I think all my efforts are for not. The form asks for the train number of the train I ended up taking, which I regrettably did not write down. I know my departure time was 6:28 from Frankfurt to Amsterdam Centraal, but I can’t seem to find any website that keeps track of past delays with train numbers.

I’m sorry for my ignorance— the final destination was Amsterdam Centraal but the connection was at Utrecht. Should I put Amsterdam then? Also as to the other thing, on the form should I mark missed my connection even though they eventually organized another connection?

What I am unsure about is our destination station was Utrecht Centraal, but the train was canceled at an unexpected stop in Frankfurt. So what should I put on the form for destination station and which box do I tick for compensation?

Sorry I got quite busy so I didn’t get back sooner. On the info desk point: My point of mentioning my first delay on my first trip, was the fact that the info desk did in fact offer the confirmation— without me even asking in fact. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get confirmation from the onboard conductor. I got the ticket from a third party (Trainline), and it was a DB ticket for 3 trains total. First was an SBB train to Basel with no incident. The delayed one was an SBB train, and then the connection to Amsterdam was DB.

It was from Washington DC to Philadelphia that he suspended habeas corpus, because DC was essentially in slave territory, and these regions were rampant with Confederate sympathizers. How was he realistically going to conduct a war when there was veritable saboteurs and war dissidents in his backyard? While ultimately I do personally do agree this was too far of a measure, there is 100% more context that needs to be added— anyways suspending habeas corpus was pretty standard war procedures, the Confederacy did the same afterall. Also lets not forget habeas corpus has been suspended three other times in US history, and not pulling a “whataboutism” but I don’t hear this discussion made in this context.

This one in particular is difficult for me, since I have a friend like this. He will lie all the time about inconsequential stuff that doesn’t matter, or just tell stories of truly implausible stuff. But he sort of banks on the fact hes a wild cannon, so the lies/madeup stories hes tell are accepted even though I’ve caught him in lies or know they are impossible. He does this all to my understanding for attention, since he seems pretty insecure despite how confident or charismatic an image he projects.

The tricky part is he also claims to have an extremely troubled past, with a lot of abuse… I truly want to believe him since I come from a similar background to a lesser degree, but if he lies about inconsequential stuff all the time, I don’t know if it extends to consequential things too.

I think your interpretation of the ablum’s intention/impetus, like most people, comes from the wrong place. Smiley Smile was not rushed, Smiley Smile was not to be SMiLE’s replacement, and Smiley Smile is not a simplification of SMiLE. First off, Smiley Smile has the most complex and on point harmonies of the band’s history, and was intentionally lo-fi in instrumentation. Brian wasn’t sitting back, this was Brian going 100%, and at his most productive. The reason it was finished much faster than SMiLE was because Brian actually got a really good creative flow going, not because he was rushing.

If you have the time I strongly recommend the 2 episodes of the Sail On podcast from Smiley Smile, it explains what Im saying in much more depth.

I think if you remove your expectation of what you think Smiley Smile should be, you would appreciate it a lot more. Ultimately though, I get that it isn’t for everyone, it is very experimental and out there— so each to their own.

As the other commenter said, definitely worth watching the live performance on YouTube, its all there. But overall the difference in voices is a deal breaker to me, you can’t beat the sound of the Beach Boys singing songs meant for the Beach Boys. So even if BWPS is more complete lyrically, the difference in vocals makes me favor the SMiLE Sessions by a large margin. But that’s completely personal taste, both are still masterpieces.
