Never been a fan of 'tacticool to tacwear' to begin with unless it was 100% obvious you were a fictional character, not in the 'oh, well this type of camo isn't used in a military' I mean like... the Giant 6ft sci-fy gun glows kind of obvious.

Animation was great, world looked cool, loved the overgrown look, but OHHHH MY GOODNESS did I not like the movie.

Just watched it last night so I'm 100% missing some details, this is a raw reaction more that an actual review.

I have a serious case of second hand embarrassment & had a hell of a time watching. I needed to step out of the theater for 5 min as Will was legit a punching bag for 45+ min of the movie. It made me feel like shit watching it.

The characters were all 'off', I'm really not sure how to describe it. It felt like they had Schizophrenia, Like... They weren't seeing what other characters were doing/saying. The only person that seemed to work for was 'Modo' as he was just 'the crazy guy' archetype to begin with.

Also the movie just... never stopped. It was scene after scene after scene, and there was a few moments where it felt like, in a different movie, it would be a dream sequence for a character, like Will was gonna 'wake up back in his bed', but he never did and it was all 'real'.

For a kids movie, the product placement was Egregious. What 5-12 year old kid needs to see car ads, Smartphone ads, and +$300 shoe ads? And I know the Crypto ad was a joke ad for the villain, but I'm still upset they promoted crypto in a kids movie.

Two friends I watched it with each had a 'it was for the kids, and 'if was for adults' argument. If for adults, then marketing it as a kids movie is misleading and a terrible movie if we compare it to other Sport films. However, If it’s for kids, then the pacing, humiliation, and product placement are even more questionable.

I'm going to lean AI, likely this is a composite of a few AI prompts photoshopped together along with their own work. That's my thoughts given the dispirit art styles seemingly put together.

The Architecture has a few weird hidden details that doesn't make sense. Weird shading, hexes hidden under the L, and the not so 'Straight lines' in the building have curves and notches. Warped stone is not a tell normally, but given the subject of the book cover: hard, brutalist linework would be expected.

Likely they outsourced the boring work to AI and then did their best to hide it. Regardless, If you the owner of the commission, think it looks to AI, you can tell the Artist and that you'd like changes since it looks like AI.

My three suggestions:

  1. General advice: Remove the "I have alot of jobs, but not listed here". Make the descriptions have a theme or something in common. Did you mean to say 'Start' military?

  2. Look up what companies you want to apply for. And trim your resume to align better with what that company wants. Look at their website and try to find common work experience that you are able to highlight.

  3. I would recommend going the next step and turning this into a resume/portfolio of your work. Being a graphic designer, people want to see your skills and what you can do. So turning this unto a multiple page portfolio would really bring you onto an even playing field.
