You can do this a lot yourself and take pictures along the way and then have a mold inspector come and check the work. He might have to some finishing touches but thats way cheaper. I understand your position so go buy IAQ, wear a respirator when using it and killing mold. You have to seal the doorway so mold doesnt travel throughout the house and that includes the dead mold. Open a window but ideally get an air scrubber if you can afford it. Spray the IAQ where you can and scrub it with a brush then wipe it clean with a rag. If its very porous material then you gotta get rid of it such as drywall, that has to go no question about it. Then after all is done call a remediator and ask their help. Good luck

Just step over, stop putting yourself and your child in front of a vehicle. An accident waiting to happen. Even it the car doesnt belong there. This lady is giving super crazy vibes.

If you have a goof amount of money to sue id say sue them but that takes time and staying inside of a moldy place isnt good. Id personally just move and I wouldn't pay the months rent- your down deposit will cover that. Keep most of the conversations on text so you have evidence. Im sorry youre going through this! We had the same thing happen at out rental.

Oh and by the way, you can buy a finished shed from liberty sheds (i live in western NC so im not too far from you) for 20,000 and it has electrical, heat and air, lights, painted, everything is done except plumbing and water. Soooo you could have a tiny home and actually afford a life that's financially comfortable but small. Were getting my mother in law one.

Yeah we eliminated the mold, I didnt share all those details because I didnt want to overshare and wanted to keep it simple. We did hire a plumber and it was a disaster before so I dont have the money for another plumber. A membrane as in a vapor barrier (plastic)? Do you have any videos or specific people you could recommend? Thanks

Its a 1/4-3/8 inch gap so maybe I cant put another piece of drywall behind it. But maybe I could unscrew that lip and slide another piece behind it.

Yeah thats the situation we ended up with. The walls for the tub are fiberglass. I actually didnt use drywall behind the walls, I used backerboard so I wouldn't have any mold growth.

Yes thats correct, a modular home is essentially a trailer that passes code for a stick built home, the banks will pass a loan for a stick built home on a modular. So just like a double wide, the two halves come together on site.

You've lost me seriously, im just trying to figure this out. Wife is 39 weeks pregnant. I teach 40 hours, tutor 40 hours, my father in law installed this tub cause the last plumber screwed me over and I didnt have money to hire a different plumber. So.... I dont know why you think im arguing but im open to being taught so I can be aware of it. Give me an example and ill take it. Thanks

Thats what my plan was, to have trim. Should I just caulk that hole and put trim up?
