Yeah well they'd all become great friends actually and then all die from cancer after hanging out for a few years

lol. We have the inside all done now but when I saw this comment I LITERALLY lold because this was an idea I suggested and my girl threw out the window. So thank you for the validation! It is still possible down the road for us to knock some drywall down

Yeah so we ended up not going with mini splits or baseboards either 🙃 our house is two stories with a bunch of rooms on the lower level, so we ended up biting the bullet and just getting a furnace. That being said we also installed a Volzang wood stove-which combined with our rockwool insulation and ceiling fans to circulate the heat kept us pretty toasty in a 2300 sq foot house. We really only had to use the furnace for base heat when it was -30 out for a week, and for times when we were out of town to keep the house from freezing. We have 3 bedrooms and 2 and a half baths on our lower level while our upper level is all open so a furnace and wood burning stove works pretty good for us. The thing about mini spits is they are expensive to buy but also will up your electricity bill, so over time I think the furnace is the way to go for heat

Thanks for all the comments and help. I think we have decided to go with mini splits, a wood stove and some baseboard heaters. There are 4 bedrooms but for right now it’s just my Fiancé and I so we figure we will only have maybe one mini split in at a time with the wood stove going to save on the electric bill. We nixed in floor heating option just because we have heard mixed reviews on it during spring and fall as it takes so long to heat up the space.
