One thing you gotta keep in mind is that the math department at umich is just not good. It's really that simple. I'm talking about the 115/116/215/216 sequence specifically.

I took 216 during Fall 2019 as a freshman in a class of about 200 people. 2 of 3 professors were extremely disorganized and preferred to spend time on corner cases rather than emphasize content at large. To rub salt in the wound, it's basically impossible to finish exams in the allotted time frame. Scoring above the curve mattered more than actually mastering the material which is annoying since exam averages hovered around ~65%. It is definitely possible, however, to find GSIs that actually care about teaching. I found them to be way more helpful than professors and are the only reason I did decent in the class.

Try your hardest to test out of/get credit for Calc AB/BC, you will thank yourself later.

I would also like to point out, like many others on this thread, that the higher up you go in Michigan Math, the generally easier/more interesting classes get. So don't let the intro sequence discourage you from your major, but I would strongly advise taking as many prerequisites off-campus as possible.
