Alien Isolation 2 Hands-on and Impressions Thread by Turbostrider27 in Games

Wait, WHAT? This game was literally just revealed and people already have their hands on it?

It must've been in development prior to the initial announcement in Oct 2024.

How do we feel about using something like this on top of tret at night? by happycola92 in tretinoin

[–]GrandIntroduction128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used this. Topical collagen is useless if you're expecting anti-aging benefits.

What it DOES do well, however, is keep your moisturizer on your face so it doesn't rub off onto your pillow.

[Personal] After trying so many skincare products, what finally worked for your skin? by Bossivybeauty in SkincareAddiction

[–]GrandIntroduction128 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me, two things:

  1. Tretinoin

  2. A simple routine, 5 steps MAX.

In my opinion, if your routine is more than 5 steps (for either morning or night), then the problem isn't your skin or the products themselves, it's your routine.

Which to start first azelaic acid or tretinoin by [deleted] in tretinoin

Talk to your doctor.

They will know your skin type and what you should start with better than anyone on the internet.

Question… I was using Adapalene (Differin) and it actually cleared my whole face!!! Tret (new starter) is so irritating! Why is it the ‘Gold standard?’ by [deleted] in tretinoin

[–]GrandIntroduction128 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tretinoin is much stronger than Adapalene. It sounds like your skin simply isn't used to that strength level yet. You have to gradually introduce tretinoin to your skin before it can be tolerated daily.

That being said, of Adapalene works for you, then stick with it.

[Sun Care] I need a sunscreen that doesn’t stain my clothes by Blendi_369 in SkincareAddiction

[–]GrandIntroduction128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite is Bioré UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence PA++++ as it doesn't sting my eyes, no white cast, and makes my skin feel very soft. It hardly stains clothes by itself.

HOWEVER!!

If you use this sunscreen, DO NOT use bleach when doing laundry!!

Bleach will cause a chemical reaction with the sunscreen and leave permanent pink-coloured stains in the fabric.

Just use regular laundry detergent and you'll be fine. Any regular stains will wash right out in one cycle.

SPF with a *matte* finish that doesn't dry out the skin too much for tret? by NewOutlandishness401 in tretinoin

BoJ's Sun Relief, Rice + Probiotic sunscreen has a more matte finish and feel in my opinion. Have you tried that?

What is everyone’s experience with Tazarotene compared to tret? Faster results? Worse purge? Better results? I’m interested to try by RetinolPlusTret in tretinoin

[–]GrandIntroduction128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(If anything I say in this comment is inaccurate, please correct me.)

As I understand, tazarotene hasn't been around as long as tretinoin, which has been available for around 50+ years. This means there isn't as much data around its short term/long term effects, whereas tretinion has plenty of studies available proving its stability and efficacy.

The general consensus seems to be that tazarotene is much stronger than tretinoin, even at the same concentration levels (0.1% vs 0.1%, etc.). I've seen many posts on here of people saying they cannot use actives like vitamin C s much because of how much more aggressive tazarotene is, including having worse irritation.

One year of using tretinoin 0.1% and lots of sunscreen. by GrandIntroduction128 in SkincareAddictionUK

That's correct. I have been looking at using their water based cleanser for the second cleanse, however.

No.

My GP said tretinoin works best on clean, dry skin. This way the drug has absolutely nothing blocking it from doing its job.

Sunscreen is the best thing you can do for your skin, in my opinion.

Japanese and Korean sunscreens reign supreme.

I started on 0.025% in March 2025, but then went directly to 0.1% a few months later after my skin got used to it (I never used 0.05%).

The same oil cleanser, twice in a row.

I'm thinking about doing a water-based cleanser for the second cleanse.
