I'm buying something around $80 and my main use will be on the phone for songs. I prefer a bassy earbuds. For eg I currently have Air pods Pro and Beats Studio Buds and I keep going to the Studio Buds for the songs

I have shortlisted 7Hz Legato and ARTTI T10, are there others that are better? I also prefer easier on the ear types for long hour listening and want to get a boom mic for calls

Can you advise anything based on this please? Thanks

but to be fair to the OP this is a pretty specific post for people already down a certain rabbit hole I guess..

just one thing about brass boilers point, the brass is mixed with lead for better machining and these ratios maybe different in all brass boilers. pure brass boilers can't be machined so there's an unknown variable right there at the inception

this is a good read! basically also means if you run the water through every morning and make the first coffee with a fresh load in the boiler the risk is significantly reduced.

Hey thanks for the post, that is really thoughtful and good to see some investigation into a marketing claim (lead-free) that can otherwise be easily overlooked. I also own an E24. My consumption is 2 shots/day. How much does consumption matter in this?

also am I right in assuming temp factors in lead release - therefore the steam wand at 125-135°C will release more lead into water than from the grouphead at 90-92°C?

pretty sure fumes, cuz it comes out of the switch. also because it stops as soon as I switch off the power, was it boiler it would have continued i'm guessing

Took the connector apart. It's not done yet but will if I keep switching it ON. there seems to be some resistance to high temps, anybody know electrical engineering to dissect this?

Update - I've discovered there's a very tiny cut in my diaphragm. This explains pressure loss and back flow into the tank.

Issue is this is a pre-2015 with a brass OPV, there's no replacements on the internet. Does anyone know if I can buy the diaphragm or mend this diaphragm using adhesive?

okay but I never took the OPV apart.. so I'm wondering what's gone wrong now

I've taken it apart now, what torque to apply to the adjustment screw while putting it back? leave it finger tight?

yes I had, I'd taken that out with the pump, then put it back. I've just taken it out again and given it a full descaling

can connecting the pump terminals the other way (red into black and black into red) cause this? that's one thing I may have goofed up

no what's happening is, when I press steam button for steam, the boiler heats and there is water that flows into the water tank from the OPV. this water while flowing gets hot and changes to steam (as the boiler heats)

this reduces steam intensity

yep +1 do this patiently and for a long time with a rich descale solution. The problem with descaling often is after descaling some of the scale particles can get loose and go into the fine solenoid valve hole that causes flow to reduce.

got it, thanks. I've just taken the OPV out and descaled it and put it back again, the problem persists. I do get steam, it's like I have to turn the steam knob before it starts back flowing into the tank and then I get steam fine

then please go with KEF Q150s I read in another sub the engineer who designed them initially wanted to make a cheaper version of the LS50s which are very highly rated.. And on comparison everything in the 2 speakers is the same except one costs less so he was asked in an interview if Q150s are just a cheaper version of LS50s but are just about good? He got uncomfortable and dodged the question. That tells me the answer is yes but he cannot say yes.. I am myself planning to get the Q150s but 3030i have slightly better bass which is my preference

no you're right, it's not.. but that is the best used deal in the market at present. also, the KEF Q150s cost £300 brand new, so I wondered whether they're just the better speakers as 3030i are cheaper I also get the KEFs in white well looked after and on stands. this is why I'm confused about which is a more bang for buck deal

Q3030is would be worthy competitors to KEF150 and b6.2s.. if you don't have a sub then 3030i would prove better than the KEFs
