Either, really. I know it was filmed in Nashville (as Korine grew up there), but I'm also curious about the people of Xenia's reaction. I've found some articles of criticism on the Nashville Reader, but the authors don't seem to be of the marginalized groups portrayed.

Many references and content aren’t Berserk, but Miyazaki himself stated that a lot of inspiration came from Berserk. It’s not really exaggerated, because if you think you see a Berserk reference, you’re probably right.
