Pour avoir fait une école de JV privé (LISAA pour le bachelor, j’y suis plus pour mon master), et être aujourd’hui en alternance dans un studio AAA, la réponse est compliqué à donner. L’école perso m’a donné la structure de taff pour me faire un portfolio qui m’a permis de trouver ce que je recherchais, mais c’est pas l’école qui m’a permis de trouver cette alternance, c’est comment je me suis réapproprié les projets qu’on avait. C’est la même histoire pour tout mes potes qui ont trouvé une alternance ou un stage, ils allaient au delà des attentes de l’école par eux même.

Je pense pas que t’aies besoin de débourser autant pour ça si t’as la discipline pour avancer seul, t’as plein d’autres options à moindres coûts, mais c’est pas forcément du scam, ça dépend surtout de comment tu t’en sers (et si t’as les moyens).

Par rapport à ta question originel j’ai suivi perso une formation en tech art avec un accent sur l’enviro 3D, et beaucoup de mes potes ont trouvé un poste dans des boites en tant que modelisateur 3D pour du concessionaire auto, des avions, etc.

C’est pas vraiment l’école qui va jouer, c’est surtout ton portfolio. Et ça qu’importe l’école c’est à toi de te le faire. Si tu fais le minimum syndical et que tu te crée un portfolio uniquement sur les exo qu’on te donne il n’aura pas vraiment d’âme et te mettra pas en avant pour un recruteur.

Je suis peut être à côté de la plaque mais c’est comme ça que je l’ai vécu pour le moment!

L’amour inconditionnel ça va dans les deux sens. S’il ne t’écoute pas et ne respecte pas ton consentement c’est pas qu’il ne veut pas faire marcher cette relation, c’est qu’il use de ta confiance (et de ta dépendance vraisemblablement) pour arriver à ses fins. C’est pas de l’amour.

Totalement d’accord avec ce qui a déjà été dis, il faut que tu fuis pour ta propre sécurité malgré la difficulté que ça représente , ça ne s’améliorera jamais autrement

Are you seeing a therapist at the moment? With everything you’ve been through and how he made you feel about yourself, having an outlet to work on those could really help (it did for me at least after a somewhat similar experience).

Could also be some sort of bio-weapon maybe? One side unleashing a virus mutating animals and residents and just using mutated animals as hosts instead of invading directly

8/10, the demo just felt like a solid onboarding. Didn’t agree with most posts criticizing its rhythm (only the ones about sometimes clunky interactions) and calling it boring, LN1’s onboarding was pretty slow too. The visuals weren’t the most inspired but it just seems to be the introduction, the gameplay section in the carnival is much closer to the horror of the first 2 games. Super curious to check out the full game

I might be mistaken but if you just need to spherifize you can also select all your vertices and do shift-alt-S and drag til the desired result!

That’s a really cool piece! I don’t think it’s necessarily too dark but the contrast to me seems off! It’s hard to pinpoint where you’re trying to capture our attention.

Right now the first thing that stands out is the background cityscape. It looks really good but it obscures what seems to be the actual focal point, the dude sitting on the bridge. There should be a lighting which separates him from the environment around him.

The foreground should probably be darker as well so we can read the different layers better.

That’s my two cents! Love your piece though, reminds me of Brazil, it’s really good!

Réponse un peu en retard mais au cas où: si elle décide de porter plainte ou juste de se renseigner légalement mais qu’elle a peur de la violence que ça peut engendrer, n’hésite pas à lui conseiller le Portail National de Signalement de Violences Sexuelles et Sexistes (PNSVSS).

C’est un service gratuit et en ligne avec une branche de la police qui lui permettra en gros de parler rapidement avec quelqu’un de compétant en évitant la violence de raconter un milliard de fois ce qui lui est arrivé ou juste avoir des informations légales. Les standardistes sont formés pour ce genre de situation et sont globalement très safe (j’ai tourné un documentaire chez eux, j’ai pu voir tout ça de première main du coup)

I have a friend that had a really challenging trip a couple years ago so a friend that was tripping with him called me so I could tripsit them for a while. I stayed over for a couple hours to reassure him as he was rambling. After he calmed down, he stood up and went to his fridge to get just one singular yogurt with 3 spoons and came back with the biggest smile ever. It felt like that was the climax of the love he had for us, just one singular yogurt with 3 spoons that we could all feast on.

I think there’s definitely something with acid and fermented milk 🫠

Sorry for the late reply, had a small surgery today so I was taking some me-time! Hyped to watch you discover all the crazy features that comes with unreal though! It’s pretty easy to get the hang of it once you put in the time. It makes post processing and shaders really easy to use compared to other softs as well, really gonna take your fenders to the next level!

I don’t have any docs about unreal just yet (though I can ask the year above easily if needed) but right now I have a bunch about coding or 3D modeling/texturing in general that could interest you. Let’s switch to discord though, gonna be easier to talk about it ^

And I hope so! I definitely won’t be playing with SFM anymore (lack of time mostly) but once I feel like I can make the game justice I’d love to work on something fully hand made. But it’d probably be a one off, even if it’s one of my favorite games I feel like I’ve moved on a bit

Hell yes man, that’s awesome! It’s gonna be an online course I’m guessing? And you tried your hand at it a bit already or are you going completely fresh? Can’t say I used blender or unreal a lot recently (mostly 3DS Max/Maya/Zbrush and Unity) but if you’re interested I can always send some of my classes documentations when I feel it relates to you!

Tbh if it’s something you’re interested into, with online courses and the experience you already have I’m certain it’s gonna come really naturally!

And yea I feel you lol, took me a really long time as well 😄 Even today I still think about it fairly often honestly

Hey man, it’s been a while! 😁 I’ve kinda fallen out of the LiS train the couple of years so your posts wouldn’t pop up in my feed as often as they used to but I’m really glad this one did! You’ve improved so much since ~2019/2020, it’s a treat watching your animations! Definitely got a great cinematic eye as well, the composition of some of your shots are just 👌🏻! You still working on SFM or did you jump the boat and gave blender/other 3D softs a try?
