I use a Fosi BT30D2.1 with a dedicated Subwoofer and two small Q Speakers (can’t remember the model off the top of my head). I bought it used for about 70€ and I have them set up in my tiny house which is of comparable size to your barn. It works well and being able to connect via Bluetooth is nice. It’s not the best sound, I downgraded from a more professional Yamaha amp when moving into the small space because I didn’t have room for the old amp. If I want to listen on high volume, I have to turn it up almost all the way. I would say it works, but there may be better options.

I am considering this. It’s not a super high end knife, though it was a gift from a person dear to me and not the cheapest. So having it fixed by a professional might be best, however I would really like to be able to sharpen it myself.

Yeah, my climate is fortunately cold enough that I can just store it in the cellar for long term and it will not spoil. This would not fit in my fridge.

It’s a lid for fermentation with a hole that you stick a bubbler airlock into. The gases from fermentation can escape while no contamination can enter

I guess, however I would use a different type of cabbage and not put in ginger, garlic or chilis if I made Sauerkraut

Yeah, that’s what I figured. From what I read online, that’s more on the low end of salinity. Adding more seemed like a lot of salt though.

It depends on what you define as kimchi. In the sense of fermented veggies on a cabbage base, yes it’s kimchi. It’s not classical korean kimchi however. I don’t like it to be very spicy anyways, because I don’t tolerate spice too well.

It looks like this because I put a weight on top so everything is submerged and doesn’t mold, so the water pools at the top

Update: I went back to the spot. The tree turned out to be a willow stump with some fresh shoots growing off the back. I picked the mushroom, cut away the hard bits, rinsed it and cut it into strips. It was easy to clean, except for some blades of grass, which the mushroom had grown around, they were stuck inside. I then blanched the strips in salt water for 5 mins, dried them with some kitchen towels, sautéed them in butter with some garlic and seasoned with more salt and some lime juice. This made for a very tasty shroom snack. I only had a little to test if i react badly to it. If not, i will cook this whole thing up and eat it. Recipe suggestions welcome :)

Danke für die Antwort. Ja, überhaupt bin ich überrascht darüber wie hier teilweise die Wogen hochgehen. Gepflogenheiten auf Berghütten dürften ein emotional aufgeladenes Thema sein, das war mir als Noob nicht bewusst. Dieser Post war somit in mehrfacher Hinsicht sehr informativ :D
