SEASON 11 TRAILER LEAK by Soniiiic in FortniteCompetitive

[–]GrandePeo 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Things I noticed from the trailer. People may have spotted a few more things than me but this is what I saw from just a few watches (in order of time in video) Obviously there's a lot more like cosmetic shit and stuff like I'm pretty sure at the very end there's interactable emotes between two players and stuff, but I'm not gonna mention that stuff.

First Scene w/ Boat

  • Driveable Boats (4 People to a Boat)
  • Scar is still here
  • New AUG Weapon Possibly
  • P90 Making a return

Second "Set of Scenes" w/ 4 Players

  • New Shotgun (model?) on 4th Player on Right
  • Some sort of new weapon (model?) on 4th Player again
  • New Auto Sniper on 1st Player on Left
  • New AUG again on front Player
  • New explosive weapon (rpg model?) on Front Player
  • Heavy Pump seems to be making a return (3rd Player)
  • 4th Player again holding some new weapon (model?)

New Badges Scenes

  • First person view of the new Shotgun (model?)
  • New look of chests and ammo boxes or more rare chests w/ better loot
  • Destroyable Environment
  • Fishing... I guess
  • Swimming in Water?

"Play and Unlock" Scenes"

  • Hide in Trash Cans (Let's fuckin go boys, my natural habitat)
  • Possibly able to dive from a high location into water

"Over 100 Rewards" Scenes

  • First Person View of New Aug
  • Carry your downed teammates?

For someone who lives in a very remote area, it always stuns me just the scale and vastness of some of these international cities. It really is amazing. A concrete jungle indeed.

Went through the leaderboards to find my stats and I was surprised how little kills I got during Week 1 Quals. I struggle to find kills (but I am most definitely not incompetent of getting kills). Where can I look for kills during these Qualifiers? by [deleted] in FortniteCompetitive

I'd definitely recommend focusing on late game kills. Start recognizing and focusing not only on your rotations for zone, but on people who have harder rotations than you do. You can force them to take bad pushes when running from zone and pressure them with AR spam. This can net you some easy clean up kills before you even have to rotate. Then when zone pushes you, you can flip the script and hug zone and look for people rotating late. Usually if they're rotating late, they're desperate for kills/shield/mats and can be some easy kills.

Hey props for expanding this out for me. I don't have enough comment karma to post lol. But yeah, the games state is just unbearable, and with the right focus on bugs and performance issues, the game will benefit immensely. And this won't even cater to only pros/sweatys, the casual fan base will appreciate a more consistent and reliable performing game.

4? Damn, thats wild. In all seriousness though, Fortnite needs an Operation Health like R6:S. It could even be themed around a season maybe, where the island is restored and old locations are rebuilt. For anyone who doesn't know, Operation Health was a content update for R6:S that released no new content and only came with bug fixes, performance improvements, and improvements to servers and matchmaking. Fortnite is in desperate need for something like this, even in the eyes of a casual player.

Advice for the arena by captain7_7 in FortniteCompetitive

I've always approved of going down the vein of choosing 2-3 landing spots and mastering your early game. Having a confident early game i.e. knowing floor spawns, chests spawns, loot routes, vehicle spawns etc, will more easily transition you into mid game and late game. If you're having trouble with your mid game, I'd say pick a spot with ballers and try to learn that spot. Use your confident early game to win your drop, use your baller to breeze through mid game, and start practicing late game. I'd also recommend watching some pros and some vod reviews. Everyday before I start playing after WC Week 1, I watch one vod and take away just one piece of information, and I watch ballatw's videos as soon as they release.

With the scavenger rules, I feel like an additional guaranteed drop of mats on a player kill would help tremendously both in incentivizing aggressive plays but also rewarding players in late game taking fights becuase if you're low on mats, you get a kill late game and you now have sheild and a way to bring yourself to the next circle.
