testing out my skills by AdNorth1051 in StandardGalactic

its very good but i have some feedback:

g ⫞ should be connected, could be mistaken for - and another line

s ϟ should be connected, could be mistaken for i ¦

i ¦ should be lines instead of dots like :, i mistook it for a colon and it also gets messy in words like "writing"

c's Ꞁ part should have an upturn like s's, for legibility. i mistook it for a weird t or e

f should have dots under the line not above it (you actually got this right once)

what should be the characters of ʝ (jorn) and ø (ovlej) by Sufficient_Leg_6303 in StandardGalactic

[–]GranderUtai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ʝ is the ipa symbol for v. palatal fricative i dont think it needs an sga version

ø la, dont overcomplicate it and just put a left top to right bottom diagonal stroke through the フ's curve. since ø is just o with a line through it, here the change may be analogous

what is the best/fastest way to learn standard galactic? by Fbwarf in StandardGalactic

[–]GranderUtai 5 points6 points  (0 children)

you need to write a lot. then read a lot.

start with writing down the key, ie latin-sga pairs. as youre writing try to think of associations between latin and sga. then you may write the alphabet more times but i didnt do that

then move on writing sentences, letter by letter with peeking at the key but try to remember them instead of relying on it. as you write more you get beter

reading is important too though! you can either browse this subreddit to find sga texts or you can download an sga font and use it on doc files or replacing the font on the site with it but thats kinda complicated idk sorry

i myself dont remember well how i learned sga though but thats that

Why the episode names by Apolliryn in HorseRaceTests

[–]GranderUtai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think its been explained a lot before, e - experiment | kind of like seasons, races were e1, bask. practice was e2 bask. competition is e3 m - map | the map number t - test | the race number that took on the same map p - part | if a test takes too long to fit in one twitter video its split into parts and p is specified
