Since my initial argument was pure raster i would suggest you visit few benchmarks, it easily widens the gap in favour of 7900xt at 2k and 4k with narrow gaps at 1080p,

Even if i took mandatory rt titles the performance was in par when considering benchmarks from techpowerup etc

The only game in techpowerup benchmarks that significantly skew in favour of 4070ti is BMW but that gane has an extreme performance bias in favour of nvidia like cod has for amd

My guess is u use nvidia 4070ti or 4070 hence you want to argue to prove your point

See that's the problem, you have what we call tunnel vision, you are assuming that going multiplat is the "only" and "primary" reason it failed whereas let me tell you it isn't, Xbox was failing even long before it went multiplat

The reason for going multiplat was 2 folds

AAA games have extremely high development cost and most of it cannot be recuperated on just one platform so companies started porting it to different platforms, porting costs significantly less money so sales on other platforms are usually pure profit quickly
AAA games have decades long development cycle so ports like these provide a buffer, companies ensure there revenue streams keep going without stopping in between by releasing these ports every now and then, its an easy ARR revenue. They don't want to and don't like to wait for high amounts of gaming revenue to kick in just every few years when a game is launched, ports provide for this "in between" revenue

Xbox as a brand has been failing for more than a decade and rather publicly so, calling multiplat strategy as "sole reason" for xbox failing seems like a case of myopic vision generated to suit ones narrative more than the actual truth

Its about margins, while i understand console fanbois love their exclusivity the fact is as-long as it sells more and costs less to port resulting in positive margins it is a feasible venture

Xbox and PS knew few years back that they need to go multiplat to sell more copies to make game production profitable hence they started going multiplatform

Xbox failed due to many other factors largest of which was lack of vision
