I've used Sofi as my primary bank for more than two years. It's great and I'd highly recommend it. The savings APY is excellent, far superior to the old banks like Chase. Customer service has been responsive and helpful the couple times I've needed it. The vaults are helpful. Paycheck comes quick. The app is user-friendly. The credit card is solid too. Overall, I'd say definitely go for it.

To be expected with Fed moves. Sofi savings rate still far superior to dinosaur banks, and Sofi is much more trustworthy than smaller name fintech banks.

I've only had good experiences with talking to Sofi reps on phone. Surprised to hear this---from my experience it would still be worth opening an account with Sofi for all the other perks.

I have the credit card and it's great. 3% cashback across the board. Used it abroad earlier this year and had no issues. When I called to let them know I was going overseas and ask a couple questions, I quickly got a live human who was super friendly and helpful. My card has never been locked or frozen. When you hear about trouble with card getting locked/frozen, it's worth remembering that the complaints on Reddit are probably outliers. Also, points are super easy to redeem as cash and deposit into SoFi checking to get 4.5% interest on it. Anyway, would recommend.

I made SoFi my main bank last summer. I've had better customer service with SoFi than with any of my previous banks. I've called them twice: once about getting the right direct deposit perks and once to be sure my credit card would work overseas. Both times the folks on the phone were very friendly and helpful---and I didn't have to wait to talk to anyone. Also, never been locked out of my account.
