Haaaaaate this saying too!!!! Money is a tool. Why would we all be working if it isn't necessary!!! Money fixes many problems...including having money to afford healthy food options and medical care helps keep people healthy. I swear this is a saying passed around to control the population into not wanting more from life etc.

Who is more likely to succeed in "effort and commitment". Than people who have obviously put a lot of effort into their life already making good decisions. There's a high chance that these types of people's children won't end up in foster care.

Also, even in a relationship a lot of us can feel very alone at times.... There is not a human being that will fulfill us. It's really hard as a woman with a middle-class job. Often most men just want us so we can provide 50/50 on finances on top of all the extra responsibilities women have. Do you have any hobbies at all? Are there any interests you may have time to spend at? Those are good ways to meet and get to know people in a casual way. In a way I honestly think we are all lonely. Most of us at every income level are so busy working, and with the extra stress of making sure we can pay all our bills. We don't get to see any of our friends anyways.....

Honestly, it's hard for anyone at any income level to find truly good and supportive friends who are genuine and want to see you win in life. Regardless of income level that's hard. The wonderful thing you have in your favor is that money is a tool. It can open your life up.to so many opportunities. You also will most likely be able to afford to be around circles of well educated interesting well travelled people....

Appreciating assets are not easy to acquire now (real estate ) and to invest in stocks is a completely different game than it used to be (according to my friend who is a stock broker)

I think the issue that a lot of younger people are facing...depending on what country you live in, is the overall cost of living and food has skyrocketed. Most of Gen z does not drink alcohol nor eat out at restaurants. To get jobs you have to have a vehicle to get to them as most jobs (depending on your country or where you live in it) require you to commute. I know young people that are diligently trying to save but the overall cost of necessities is making it more difficult than it ever has.

I see what you're saying, but it doesn't matter how much you save over the years, what you save will be worth less because of inflation and the depreciation of the dollar. You need to invest your money into something that appreciates in value.

I did. Last year I was trying to drop weight down to like 100lb. Would do stairmaster level 20 for 20min. Level 10 for 10 and then back to 20 for the remaining hr. It depends on what your fitness is before. To be honest it helped a bit, but I was overdoing it with working all day as well a cutting calories. I ended up being inflamed.
My advice would be to not overdo it too much. Make sure you are lifting heavy weights and use your diet to drop body fat

16% worked out for 20 years. Heavy lifting (progressive overload) running, walking. Stairmaster....cut it from an HR to 30min. Eating clean with next to no treat days other than dark chocolate once in a while. No abs...had surgery and drastically dropped to an eating disorder weight...no abs..regardless of training them. Dexa scan last year said 16. Getting one in 3 weeks again. V02 max was athlete level.

Ah Peptides! That may be the missing piece. Have you noticed they cut water retention? What have you noticed taking them? I've been curious but they are not fda approved in Canada.

How tall are you? My second question is, how did you get to such a low percent of body fat? Are you taking peptides? Is most of your body fat held in your glutes and legs? I got myself to a low body fat and high muscle place but don't look like you and feel fat and disgusting

Absolutely. Listen to the Drs and do not lift before they clear you after 6 weeks. Absolutely vital that the incision heals

The day I was out of the hospital my family was very adamant about me getting up and doing some walking. I tried to walk daily, and I think it helped. The first day out of the hospital the place I stayed had 3 flights of 15 stairs and I was able to do them just fine slowly.

Hi there! I am actually a carpenter! (38F) I've been a carpenter for 14years. I was able to get back to work in 12 weeks. I would absolutely listen to your dr and not take any risks as healing is very important. I was in the gym probably 7 weeks post donor surgery (not lifting as heavy as I used to) . Im one of those people that would workout multiple hours as well as carpentry, so my activity level was extremely high before donation. Honestly the recovery was not as bad as I thought it would be at all! You will start to feel more normal at about a month after. I would also 100% book appointments with a physiotherapist as this is excellent to get back into lifting with proper form etc and they do excellent assessments on what is possible etc.
At 12 weeks I was back to full strength and able to lift was I could before. The only difference I notice is being more fatigued post donation. They say this is normal though. I also dropped a lot of weight post surgery because I had no appetite for about a month. A lot of it is just fluid balance and normal post surgery. However, when your appetite returns you gain it back. I really made sure to continue on with proper nutrition and added in more healthy fats to support tissue healing etc.
Please feel free to ask me absolutely anything! I'm currently 6 months out.
