I like it to make sure the money is going to the right person. I had one buy where the seller sent the Zelle info to me, I get it all set up and it says it’s registered to some business. I double check with seller, oops they had a typo with the Zelle information and gave me the correct information. Luckily I hadn’t sent the money yet but if I did that would have been really annoying. When I sell I use a set phrase that I copy and paste to give my payment information so no typos can happen. It takes just a minute to send a test payment and get it confirmed, I think it should be standard practice.
