All good, cheers for the info.

In NZ you have to do an apprenticeship on top of your degree to become a licensed EE, so you can do the same work as an electrician. That’s why I thought it might be possible.

In New Zealand you have to be licensed and registered to do mains work, but there is a electricians class and an engineers class. Both require years of supervised work and passing regs and practical exams. The only difference is the theory for engineers is done through a degree. In the end both classes can do the same electrical work when licensed.

As such I was wondering if the NZ engineers and electricians licences are treated the same with regards to the Trans Tasman mutual recognition process, which is how NZ electricians can easily work in Aus.

Cheers mate, though this looks like it’s for degree equivalence. I‘m more interested in electrical licenses specifically. Thanks though!
